Default Prot Pally / 4 Ele shamans = win?

Between Hammer of Justice and The Avenger's shield (100% silence too) seems like this would be a great set up -- I know Bubblemint has this set up but I haven't seen any PvP videos from him, just a 5 man heroic one.

Is anyone running this set up for pvp?

For BG's these would probably be fine, but for arena you would get raped without a healer they would just LOS you. Even if you managed to kill one the rest would clean you up.

Thats the setup I run for battle grounds and it works just dandy. I pretty much fall over and die though in arenas

Prot pally in holy gear actually heals pretty well

but I don't know about well enough to keep your shaman alive

Well currently I'm running 5 shamans -- my main shaman is the best geared one with mostly furious, S6 weapon/shield, ect -- 23450 unbuffed HP or 25k with 5/5 toughness for survability.

    I haven't done a ton of pvp's on my pally + 4x shammy team.
The pally is dual spec and one of the shammies is dual spec.
The other three shammies are elemental spec with a pve focus.

Pally has PvE Prot and PvP Prot/Holy.
Shammy has PvE elemental and PvE resto.

For PvE play I usually run PvE Prot + 4x Elemental.
Occasionally run PvE Prot + 3x Elemental + 1x Resto.

For PvP play, I run PvP Prot/Holy and 4x Elemental.
I got the spec on arena junkies.
It's mostly Prot, but the talents are a bit different, and the Holy goes a little deeper.

Suggested Glyphs were: Flash of Light, Seal of Wisdom and Avenger Shield.
This is a healer spec, with healer gear.

I've got Grid + GridCustomLayouts + Clique, which will allow me to click cast on unit frames.
My shammies cast at the target of my paladin, but with this route, I can for example Alt Left Click on a frame, for Flash of LIght, without changing my target from what I want the shammies to burn down.
I figured I could not force hordies to attack a tank.
But my healer could be very hard to kill with tank talents.

I would prefer 5 shaman, but I currently run this setup. Most people ignore my paladin when they see 30k+ health and go straight for my shaman (only 18k health)... Although this thread has given me the idea of getting healer pvp gear for my prot paladin so I at least have a good amount of mana with which to stun and use the shield throw. That's my main problem now, hes worthless after the first 30secs of combat when he runs oom.

Anyone used a tree druid to lead your shamans around? I really like the feel of having a shaman as the lead, and the tree feels useless when I'm not taking damage, but the moving hots are nice. This is of course for BG's/open world, not arena.
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself. A bird will fall frozen dead from a bough without ever having felt sorry for itself.

    Morganti.

I've been toying with this idea for WSG (ie not super well thought out yet). Basically what I'm thinking is x1 druid and x4 ele shammies. My thinking is that the the druid can stealth in grab the flag while the shammies support. The shammies obviously have the ghost wolf talents so everyone transforms and makes a run for it. It does solve the oft-heard moaning of "wtf!!!! support the fc you noobs"

Anyways it's all just theory cause my druid is still 63 (I'm leveling it along with the 5th shammy)

I could try this if I ever leveled my druid from 70-80, but I'm too lazy.

Nice to see another MB that lives close to me!!
