New to multiboxing.

Hey guys,

I am doing 3x Exp with a friend but he has recently gone back to school and he asked me to level his character. Seeing as both of our characters are in the mid 40's i thought i could carry on 3x exping. As i dont want the hassle of leveling his character aswell i thought i could dual box if that makes any sense :P. (lifestoryyyy)

Basically i'm wondering what software, addons, or anything i need to get it up and running.

There's a good chance you will get you or your friends account banned for account sharing. It's against the tos. Even if you get away with it normally multiboxing draws that much more attention to you (good and bad) so your basically under a microscope.

so why do people mutli box then?

We use our own accounts. Many do it for various reason's. Personally wow is just to easy. So adding more characters make it more of a challenge. Not to mention my play time is pretty erratic so getting a decent guild and groups are iffy.

Basically you can get reported alot by uninformed players, people that hate multiboxers, etc. normal the gm's would look into it, see that its a mulitboxer and be on his way

The fact tha tinst the TOU, at account sharing is agall the people reporting you could/will cause blizzard to check out you account & your friends account which will eventually lead to a ban due to account sharing. your best off buy a new second account under your own name.

The fun, and challenge of controlling 2+ characters is the reason most people multibox, I personally 5 box my redneck shamans because I hate waiting for groups, and really love blowing people up in a global cooldown. Heroics are intersting without a tank and make for quite a nice and unique challenge.

Playing someone else's account is bannable, against the ToS and therefore against the forum rules. Do NOT do this you WILL get banned, this is something blizz has been hitting pretty hard since the RAF bonus was added.

However, running multiple players can be quite addicting and rewarding, so stay within the rules and stat up another account...you know you want to :P
