What specific files can I delete to decrease the size of my World of Warcraft folder on my hard drives. Atm it's at 15gb.

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question either. Also can I get like a ss of the actual files I need to delete/can delete.

All the files are there for a purpose. Short of Addon's and screen shots there is nothing of significant size that you can delete not that I am aware of.

Are you running out of diskspace. 15G in this day and age is a drop in the bucket.

i believe fizzler is right. 15GB is standard for a wow installation after patching to the latest version. if you have a nice spare hard drive, you could always use that, or partition it and use it solely for Wow.

Or you can always delete non-wow files you do not need anymore.

and check out ccleaner application, great for cleaning out old files you do not need anymore. also check to see if you have a lot of old system restore files you do not need anymore(if it is turned on)

otherwise invest in a 1TB hard drive, $99 USD and partition it to suit your needs

~15GB is the install size for a fresh install of WoW + TBC + Lich King. You can't remove anything from that to make it smaller.

Unfortunately it's just the reality of gaming.

If you have multiple installs of wow, or folders of wow.
For the purpose of different video configurations.
You could SymLink them from the primary, greatly reducing the size of the 2nd and later folders.
First folder won't get much smaller then 15.

This is definitely something that the OP wants to do. Loading the same files with cache them upon read. So the other 4 copies of wow will read them faster from memory, etc.

For sure if you are wanting to reduce the 15GB installation for boxing purposes than symlink is one way to go. If you are trying to reduce the size of just one install than you have no real options.

I just symlink'd my 5 wow's. It was a different process for Win7 64bit . I used a program called HardLinkShellExt_X64. If you are symlinking you should take a look at it. There are other great post on this site for symlink if you want to look at options.
