Equipment damage while boosting

i carry 6 sporregar (sp?) shields for boosting =p

in SM drops www.wowhead.com/?item=Aegis of the Scarlet Commander, when i ran there, i just stored some of them, they still worked up to hellfire instances for my prot pala :-)

Strangely enough I don't have this problem on my DK, I can make it through DM till 15 and then Stocks until 25-26 without having to repair him....Repair is always wonky imo

I already tried running SFK, SM Cath and Strat butt naked with my Holy Paladin and Blood DK. It's possible to pull decent amount of mobs since you have instant heals. Best of all no repair bills. But you can pull more mobs and save more time with equips.
