Default Grounding totems not absorbing death grip...

First week I thought maybe it was just another case of onyxia deep breathing more often, but now I'm sure something is up.

With 4 grounding totems up, my shaman are getting yanked all over the place. Arena, BG's, whatever.

Weird thing is, occasionally it seems to absorb death grip like it did before, but most of the time, it just doesn't.

    Anyone else notice this?

nope, and for the deep breath part aswell. Last time i fought ony (few days ago) killed her before she even did a deep breath.

I got deathgripped yesterday with 4 gounding totems down right beside me. It did appear to be a bug or something. The initial death grip animation was perfectly absorbed by the totem, but I was still yanked to the dk without any deathgrip animation pulling me to him.

It was weird....and made me think of this post from a couple of days ago.

Death grip is now considered a physical ability, there is a blue post somewhere saying it was a bug all along that it was ever even magical. So it cannot be grounded anymore, not a bug.

    That's awesome.

Don't even know what to make of this. It's already been the cause of several losses in 5v5 since the patch, and it's going to be a great anti-boxer opening move once everyone knows this in season 7.

Has made battlegrounds annoying to play as well since half of alliance are death knights.

Wow that's pretty friggen stupid. I cant believe that stuff..

How could that have been a bug? It's a crazy get over here spear lol, whats physical about that. If so I should be able to dodge, block and parry it or something.

Damit whats the point in this

Alright they change totem stomping so it not possible anymore, fine cool and fair

But wtf does that matter when a DK can pull us away from all our totems so we are out of range of them all
    come on blizzard...!

I know some people says deathgrip should be simular to charge from a warrior just the other way around but thats not entirely fair either theres a big difference in it.

When a warrior charge someone in arena he is the one going into all the enemies when a DK grip you, your the one going into all the enemies.. thats a quite huge difference in my opinion.

If this remains its going to be my end of wow

Perhaps there are ways to counter this more effectively.

    1. You get deathgripped, you slam thunderstorm and hit follow on your slaves - or run back to your slaves whilst the slaves and healer pop some heals to keep you up.
    2. When dropping totems, perhaps run forward and drop them then retire behind them. So when the DK deathgrips you through them you are still in range of the totem effects.
    3. Perhaps a more aggressive style of play where you pile in to the deathknight in ghost wolf and drop totems when you are on him (totally suicidal I know and probably not recommended).

Don't get me wrong - it is annoying as hell. In BG's it happens all the time, but if thunderstorm is available it's inconvenient.

I've no practical experience multiboxing arena as yet but I thought it might be more useful to try and think of ways of lessening the impact.

It seems mad to discard so much work based on the ability of one class that is on a cooldown.
Any other shaman with more experience have any ideas?

Dosn´t really matter if you get deathgripped away from your totems your just gonna get a fear and its even more game over

LAWL, FoK took forever. I wouldnt hold my breath =(

They may decide they like it or that they want to let players "have their fun" like they did with the rogues. What they forget is when someone is OP and "having their fun" they are making other players miserable.
