Sometimes I have an issue when I exit the game it actually crashes so none of the settings get saved. If I do a /logout and exit by 2x escapes it seems to save them.

Also I suggest that you don't do deadmines until around level 18..unless you are boosting then I suggest you go to shadowfang keep at level 10 instead. Deadmines isn't as efficient for boosting but its fun if you are just playing through it.
