    Exclamation Forum Request

Would it be at all possible to make sub-forums for each class... so that when I want to search for macros I don't have to scroll through hundreds of threads trying to find what I am looking for?

I would even be willing to sift through all of the existing threads and mass-move everything to it's correct sub-forum. I am a vB admin on another site, so getting it done would NOT be a problem (I already know how to do it). It would make all of the "one-button-spam-macros" sooo much easier to find.

I like the way that this forum is organized, with Macros and addons in the same Category, I just wish that there was any easier way to find a one button healing macro for a druid without having to exhaust the search feature. This is NOT a deal-breaker, but since this entire community is about making things easier to use, why not make it easier to find as well (lol).

Is this something that others would like to have as well? You can even link the sub-forums on the main index, so that if you are looking for a DK macro, you never even need to come INTO the main forum... you go straight to the sub-forum.

The quick answer is "No, we don't need sub-forums n00b... learn how to /search"

But joking aside, I'd not be for it unless we get such a huge support for it that Ellay goes "dude, just do it".

My reason? I think a better alternative would be to add class thread prefixes so there aren't another 9 subforoums (and thats JUST WoW) I think to cover the bigger games, it's just too many sub forums.

Making sub forums for each class? People would just continue to ignore the hard work the community has already done, and just continue to ask the same asinine questions in new threads. And I'll end up virtually curb stomping them, and getting yelled at by management for being too harsh. hehe

Are you planning on working (or have you already) created a DPS macro similar to the 5 macro click setup you posted for shaman for Warlocks? Specifically Destruction spec? I'd love to blatantly steal....err thoroughly test any such macro.

/now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I say no and point to the MMO subforums. I look at the much-requested subforums for LotRO {4 threads} Warhammer {2 threads} , ROM {11 threads}, AO and FFXI {1 thread each!} most of which might see one post a month. Did we really need a WoW subforum when WoW stuff ends up in general, PVE, PVP, and class discussions? Oh! AND the macros forum!

I really don't see any need whatsoever for another dozen forums devoted to WoW. The shaman and paladin forums might see some traffic, but only after posts get force-migrated there. It would just be an unnecessary waste.

Hey, I was trying to be cute. But apparently missed the boat. No offense to anyone was intended.

Just poking fun at some of the typical threads that get started asking for information on the same thing that listed 2 posts above theirs, sticked at the top and posted in the wiki. (I'm probably a little guilty of this myself. That and I'm really chatty tonight because I don't want to switch the PC off and do any real work.)

Ok, no harm no foul. Thanks for cleaing that up.

I'd just suggest that if you want to poke good natured fun at someone use lots of smilies and /jk to make it clear.

Will leave the thread open for people to post feedback about the poll (although I think Svpernova summed it up pretty well).

    Cheers,

Class stickies might be the most useful but the site doesn't feel large enough for class specific forums (yet).
