I just tank and spank this and use interact with target to face it after the fears. I've never had any trouble with my mixed team on this one. I don't remove the renew either.

I only spot heal with my resto shaman and don't aoe heal at all so maybe that is the difference for me. I don't know if that would make it easier though. Earth shield might help out some for when I can't get heals while feared.
