    I had my q6600 at 3.6 for a while on air but dropped it back down to 3.4 because I was no longer 5 boxing on one machine. Even with a stock cooler you should be able to push 3ghz without any trouble. I've been running stable at 3.4 for at least 8 months.

    Are you sure it has limited multicore settings? I run with my affinity to all 4 cores and it gets utilization across the board. There is even a setting in the config for having affinity to all 4 cores. Now if I misread and you are just stating the only limit of multicore utilization is sound then I stand corrected. Hopefully all multiboxers use a hardware soundcard, its such a cheap solution to ofload processing from your cpu.
