    Default Heroic Old Kingdom DOWN!

So OK was the Heroic Daily yesterday, so I figured I'd give it another shot.

Most of the instance is cake. The hardest parts are some of the trash pulls. High aggro radius and you get some casters who just do some nasty spell damage.

I tried Volazj once before and quit after about 4 wipes. Last night, I finally got him on my 5th attempt.

I cant say I did anything special this time around, but the new Shaman totem drop system really helps. I kept my primary totem setup to start. Once you start the first dementia phase, I dropped my secondary totem setup which consisted of the Magma Totem, Earth Elemental totem, Healing stream totem and grounding totem. I kept my window on my Paladin, but I would be spamming LB on the shamen (hoping they had a legitimate target and good LOS) and would spam LHW whenever I saw one of them getting low.

For the 2nd dementia phase I did the same thing but popped earthbind totems in place of elemental and fire elemental totem in place of magma.

So 5th try, I survived with the Paladin and 2 Shamen still standing. Here's hoping that is NEVER THE DAILY EVER AGAIN!!!!

And now I'm down to 1 Heroic remaining, and I think we all know what that one is ...........................

Nah, I've always been 4x Elemental. Though I dual-spec'd them all with a PvP spec which I have not used since 3.2 (and probably wont use until I have everything I want from the Emblem of Conquest/Valor/Triumph vendors). Maybe I'll change one of their secondary specs to Resto and give it a roll. Could be fun.

But now I'm focused on Occulus. I've done everything up to the last fight. Gotta start doing my research. Maybe I can give it a go this weekend!

Damn straight! I'm gonna start searching the forums for strats and videos. I know someone here has done it. The best part is, once I do it, my guild is gonna get crazy-spammed!

I actually just joined a real raiding guild a couple weeks ago (my wife's sister's guild, got in as a "friend & family" recruit) and I always get a good chuckle in guild chat whenever I get a 5x Achievement.

The best is going to be when I finally get Occulus:

    5x Occulus
    5x Heroic Occulus
    5x Northrend Dungeon Master
    5x Northrend Heroic Dungeon Master

You better believe I'll be doing crazy screenshots. Hell I may even attempt to make a video (something which I know ZERO about).

Yeah, unfortunately you can only heal yourself in the copy phase. So I just had LHW queued up on each shaman and spammed it anytime someone got low.

Old Kingdom was the daily last week for me, and like you I just had that and Occulus left. I went though with a good 2h window where I could practice, but I ended up 1-shotting the last boss. I skipped the enrage chick and the mushroom guy, and wiped twice on the fire guy.

I didn't make any macros, I just spammed my "dps" button. Since the assist target wasn't in the vision, it auto-targetted the closest enemy. I hit auto-run on the priest and pointed it towards the hallway, then kept going through my windows to ensure they were all facing the target, spamming "dps" the whole time. When the priest got to the hallway, I turned her around and ran back towards the boss corner. By the time she got to the middle, my mage and better geared shaman had killed their adds. I stopped the priest in the middle there, spammed Prayer of Healing, and dps'd the rest of the adds down. I was pretty disappointed at how easy it was compared to the Brann event in HoS (the third fight I'd been dreading, that was the daily a couple days prior.)

I didn't go back and kill the 2 bosses I skipped, and now I just need those 2 for the northrend heroic dungeonmaster achievement .
