I'll check it out... random sizing doesn't seem to work but I need to try a few other things.
-
I know window sizing is turning out to be a difficult feature to add.
I am wondering about window positioning. I'm not sure if this is a local thing or if all mac boxers face this, but on startup, all my wow windows stack up rather than remembering where they were last. Is there a way for plexer to resolve this issue?
-
Yes, I can do window positioning, at least as of 3.2 when I was testing it. I know exactly what you mean about the windows stacking... super annoying.
I've also noticed that if you launch through the WoW Launcher instead of the app itself, your windows get confused on the sizing sometimes too. I really wish I knew how to get the sizing to work as well!

Thanks and enjoy
Thank you very much for this extraordinary little piece of software. I finally come back to play WoW and just sent you my $25. You definitely deserve them. Enjoy!
With gratitude, Ohitekah

MUWHAHWHAWHAWHWAAAA!!!!
Ok, so I think I've figured out how to hack-up the size of the window for when WoW starts. It's not perfect and it doesn't allow arbitrary resolutions, but I should be able to save the state of your windows and reload them later...
Still testing it out, but I think I've got it!

Blast!!! It only works for the first instance of WoW that I startup... come on Blizzard!!!

lol
Your hard work is appreciated. Looks like you're getting payed for it as well. Waiting with abated breath.

There's actually only about 30 users of Plexer right now (at least, that's about how many have purchased it), but those that are using it seem to like it.
I've started working on v2 of Plexer; the biggest hurdle is getting the networking working smoothly, quickly, and with as little overhead/lag as possible. Also thinking about redoing the UI completely. Eh... more to come. I might ask a few to beta test it as well, if they're up to it.

So will those of us who purchased Plexer v1 be given v2 unlocked? Or do we have to pay for that too. Because to be honest, $25 for a month of use before being phased out is pretty lame IMO.

I don't know what the upgrade path will be yet. Plexer v2 isn't coming out the door next week though. Regardless, you wouldn't have to pay full price for the upgrade if you have v1; if there is an upgrade cost, it'll be around $10~$15 max.
Plexer v2 is a complete rewrite that will support networking and will have a 3rd-party plug-in system, so it is a significant upgrade.
