    Default Introducing Plexer for Mac

As I've mentioned before in a few posts, I've been working on a key broadcasting app called Plexer. Well, I've decided to release version 1.0 of it and I thought people here might like to give it a try.

Check it out if you're interested: http://www.kiadsoftware.com/products/plexer/.

    congratulations!

Sounds great, but can you post a few screenshots / videos?

Other than that - anything that gets more boxers on line is a great thing.

    Hello,

I've been giving the demo a quick go this morning. On the whole seems pretty good, UI is slick and looking forward to something that remembers my wow sessions unlike clonekeys.

I have had some trouble with sometimes not broadcasting to a particular client, actually broadcasting to the wrong client that was not on the applications list. I can't seem to reliably recreate it, but quitting everything and starting again seems to resolve it.

Purchased version still seems to say 'demo' though?

I know you've mentioned network support before - does it look hopeful? I'd happily pay more for it!

    Great work!

Hmm.. if you send me a PM or email with your serial number I'll see if there is some bug. If you shut down Plexer after entering the registration key, does 'Demo' go away? If so, I probably have a bug in there to remove the 'Demo' badge after a serial key is entered during the session. I'll add that to the bugs.

I haven't seen the broadcast to the wrong client... do you mean the wrong instance of WoW? Or to some other random program that's not on the app list?

I've thought about network support but was unsure of what the desire would be for it. I think there are some other features that people might want before hand. I was going to gauge interest in the app first before making any decisions though.

I'll try to get some videos up in the next couple of days. Nothing really different from other multi-boxing systems though.

I've emailed my details and a screen shot.

I run 3 clients, at first one of them was not receiving broadcasts at all so I removed them all and re-added, but it still would not. I tried adding only 2 wondering if it was a performance thing or number of clients, and the 3rd continued to receive the key presses. Quitting everything and starting again and I've not been able to recreate it though.

I'm seeing a few bugs I can recreate though - what's the best way to let you know?

Really great to see a Mac app under active development again.

    Two ways to report bugs:

    1. http://bitbucket.org/owensd/plexer/issues/. I'd prefer the bugs be kept there so everyone can see them and know when I've fixed them.
    2. plexer@kiadsoftware.com. Send an email there and I'll get it. Just a little more work for me as I'll probably create the bug ticket then as well.

Either works. You can post here, but I might not see it as quickly as the methods above.

    EDIT:
I've added the registration key issue to the list of bugs here: http://bitbucket.org/owensd/plexer/issues/. I'm guessing that I did something stupid in the key validation because I haven't run into that issue when doing my testing.

Good news is that I've fixed the bugs that people have reported. Keep them coming!

    I just had a question.

I know I can use the trial here, however I figured I would ask here before hand.

One of the issues I had with Clonkey was that the buttons I press would be delayed from time to time, and sometimes not at all. This was not necessarily more so due to the amount of instances running on my computer. I was just wondering if Plexer has the same issue? or are key broadcasts between wow instances instant?

I had too many frustrations having to hit the same button twice to ensure that it hit on all my characters.
