    I care!

With the discounts on WoW for the holidays, I've been looking at picking up a 3rd set of software. I used to use HKN on a PC, but now i use my Macs pretty much exclusively for WoW, so I came back here looking for an OSX solution.

The machine I use the most is a MacBook Air (1.7GHz i5 with 4GB/128SSD) and it runs two copies of WoW just fine. Does Plexer play nice with Lion?

I have had characters run off while using keyclone as well, but just tapping any movement key would stop the slave characters.

When i use Plexor and my slaves begin running off, it takes more than simply tapping a key. The only way found to stop the movement is to bring the slave window to the front and cycle through all my movement keys.

I don't know maybe my plexor is messed up or there is something wrong with my computer set up.

There are TWO choices for OSX boxing? O.o

I'm not looking to do any serious dungeoneering or BGs or anything. I just want something that'll handle keysending between 2 apps, like what I was used to with HKN on PC back when I was into it. My main use will be leveling a pair of hunters (they were fun to MB in the past) to boost my current lowbie up to 80 so he can be a decent farming toon. I'll also be using the grantable levels to jump a bank alt up to 80 so she can finish off her JC, giving me double the number of tokens to shop with.

Both Plexer and MultiLaunchBox look like they'd meet my needs for running 2 copies of WoW on one Mac. I'll grab the trial of both this weekend and see how they go.

Owen, thanks for the tip on Lion.

Norrin, thanks for letting me know about other options.

I just had a quick question for you guys. I just downloaded the trial of Plexer this past weekend and was working on leveling a pair of toons through dungeons and was running into some issues. Occasionally the second account's character will either spin around in place or at other times he will just randomly start strafing and turning, inevitably pulling additional mobs and wiping the group. Has anyone else run into this?

The weird thing is I have blacklisted the normal movement keys (A,S,D, Q, W, E) and the only keys that remain to move the characters the the arrow keys which I normally use to try and break the toon out of running off. If the toon is spinning, I use my jamba follow macro. I'm just not sure why the toon would pick up a movement key when it is supposed to not send at all and I haven't touched the other movement keys. Should I just switch to whitelist mode and only allow the specific keys I have set up to perform my given rotation/mounting tasks?

Yup, I had the exact same problem with the movement keys being blacklisted. The only keys that were not were the strafe keys and the arrow keys.

I had to be quick to switch to the save windows and get them to stop running in circles by mashing all the movement keys. Even when i did that sometimes i would still have trouble getting them to stop all motion.

So then what did you do to take care of it? Just mash the hell out of the movement keys and pray or was there some way to keep it from occurring in the first place?

Prayed and mashed keys. I tried clonekeys too and boxed with it thru WoTLK. It had issues as well so.....I then installed bootcamp, win7, and ISBoxer. I haven't looked back since.

How many instances of WoW do you have running on your computers when you have this issue? I've seen something similar a while back, but that was usually when my computer was pretty bogged down.

It was 5 instances on a first gen mac pro with 2 dual core processors. I can't remember the exact speed or proc number.
