Group questions
Ok, I will not be doing the tanking. But instead I will be controling the 3 dps and heals. Unless rolls are reversed and hubby plays his healer and I play tank and 3 dps.
Anyway. I can not for the life of me figure out how I'm going to do this for instances. We plan on having me 4box while he tanks..
It will be a mix of
Shammy healer
Shammy dps
Hunter dps
Shammy or priest dps
Pally tank
As you can see I have all caster for dps. And the shammy for chain heal.
But if I'm tanking and healing if hubby decides to play his rogue on occasions. How the heck to I heal my party from my tanking screen.
Now I know you can use macro for target party 1 etc. But this is what gets me. Party 1 on my screen will be the tank. But on my healer its herself and so on. So the group make up changes from one screen to the next. Who is party 2 on one screen is party3 on the next. So trying to keep track of who needs heals is different by member. As the make up is not in the same order as my main screen.
So if I see on my tank screen party member 2 needs heals from aoe.. But on my healer screen its party3. How to do fix this? Can I use something like grid to force them into the same order? Maybe even Vuhdo? Does blizzards game read it the same way?
We are ready for wotlk instances finally. And I just have to set up all the macros on all the toons. (I leveled them pulled by my tanking druid)
I was thinking about doing a focus targets target but then I have to (on tank) click the person who needs heals wait for the healer to target then switch back. And sometimes this can and probably will get very hairy with seconds being wasted.
I use keyclone and jamba if that helps.

What I've done is setup a macro for each toon like so :
#showtooltip
/cast [nomod, target=party1] Renew, [target=party1] Power Word:Shield
and just bound that to numpad1-5 in hotkeynet so when i press numpad 1-4 with or without a modifier it heals or casts PW:S on em. Ofcourse you can set up to 4 different spells using that way and macro but i prefer it this way. Only thing you have to remember is which is party member 1-4 as the 5th is a self heal using target=playername. I allways have the same group order which makes it a whole lot easier to remember.

Damm the dps they can heal themselves :P tell hubby use bandages lol, tell em to move out of the green/red/blue what ever the color is of the ground damage affect?
The majority of the time you will be healing the tank the times your group takes splash damage spam some chainheals.
drop healing stream?
Or go with eggy solution or you change it slightly pick 5 keys on yer quickbar name em same as yer chars have it setup on yer healer as target=name of char another set of keys for healing spells
I would suggest one person controls the healer another the tank then setup the dps to assist the tank then flip a coin for the person who gets to pummel a key over and over again for dpsing.

Thanks guys.
After setting up so many macro's today my brain was fried when it came time for the important ones. Should of done them first.
I used the number pad.. Set up all healing macro's for the tank. Then did 3 seperate macro's to cast chain heal on the rest of the group. Just incase we have a lost toon and I need a heal fast.
Hubby on the other hand.. well he sometimes thinks I'm like this great healer and I can heal through those color coded warnings..LOL
We all know how pallys think they are the bomb and can handle anything... They forget its the healer that does the work..
Now I just need to set up my g13 and g15!!
FINALLY!!
thanks for the imput it was great help.
