I just looked through all the posts you made, didn't see any with a title of 'AOE'. Hrm,... I'll keep looking for the post.

68-71ish the Rhinos in BT. Easy to kill and quick respawns 5-6 in each pack pull 2 packs at a time. They are yellow so you will have to do a little work but still easy.
71-72 Iron Dwarfs in HF along the edge. There are about 20 of them, by the time you kill them all they refesh.
71-72 BT some frog looking things along the coast.
72-75 Northeast of Wintergarde, there's a large encampment of Onslaught mobs
that are purely melee. there are so many groups here that you can have
a field day with multiple pulls and respawns will occur when you go
    back to the beginning.
    74-75 Mustangs Grizzy hills
75-76 The entire Venture Corp Encampment on the northwest side of the
Suntouched Pillar is made of melee mobs. Plan out your pulls, and be
sure to stay a safe distance from the "boss" mobs. They're not elite,
but they have some nifty ablities that can throw off your pull by a lot.
77-80 Skeletal Runesmiths, Icecrown as soon as you can fly.

NM about the runesmiths - quest or do AV ;p

You can definitely consider any of the Burning Crusade instances as well.
Mechanar, Arcatraz, Botanica, Steam Vault, Shattered Halls, Shadow Labs or Magister's Terrace on normal are all options.
Every BC instance on heroic is also an option.

I'm going to take my mixed team into AV's, as soon as the Warlock and Hunter ding 71st.
Win or lose, I go with the swarm to take out Galv and then mix it up and either guard a tower, recap a bunker or continue to zerg towards Drek.
Usually with BG's, I have a torrent or dvd playing, which gets equal attention as the game.
Enough attention on the game to react to someone attacking my tower.
Enough distraction from the game, to not mind running AV's way too many hours a day.

Basically taking out Galv/Belinda and a 2-3 towers, win or lose, will easily be less painful then WotLK collections were.
The dvd distractions are probably a large portion of this.
1-60 was ok in stretches, and with RAF is a non-issue.
BC, with the 30% exp boost, is relatively pain free. Almost no collections and dinged 70th without entering BeM, NS, SMV, my last run through.
Wrath, with so many collections which unlock kills which lead to collections.. has very much sucked.
Any alternative to Wrath questing is a good option, imo.

Im not find our search feature very useful at all. I've spent hours searching for my own posts with it, and looking for information with no luck. Just my 2 cents: It's hard to find what your looking for !

Sadly the majority of links in google are for the old message board.
When i've followed the link it brings you to the forum front page not to the actual post.

Posts made under the new message board are fine of course.

Example, a Rogue appeared out of nowhere and within 4 or 5 seconds all 5 Mages were dead thanks to the Rogues Fan of Knives AOE ability.

I also found that unless your team captures objectives and wins AV, you don't get very much experience at all.

Spending an hour playing 2 or 3 Alterac Valley's, not winning any, and walking away with maybe 50,000 XP really sucks.
Especially compared to the 3 or 4 quests at 23k each I could turn in during that time, in addition to the NPC kills I would have been making 500XP each from.

It was a lot of fun in AV, launching 5 arcane barrages followed up by 5 fire blasts taking down people left and right.
Blinking into a big group and AOE'ing the heck out of them causing a panic.

But for now AV just doesn't seem to be worth it.
Although I probably still will play 1 a night, just for fun and some honor points
yeah one rogue or any aoe'er will kill your whole group. when I level lowbies in AV i run my 4x shaman in furious/deadly gear and hold the choke point and recap towers. even as horde we seem to win.. lowbies get about 1.5-2 bars per game. if you don't win though, it's about half a bar....

I dunno, looking at how long it took me to quest/instance grind to 80, and then having to spend literally months grinding honor to gear up for pvp, I wish there had been bg leveling back then. Even if you lose every single game, and it takes approx 10 hours per level, that's about equivalent to trying to grind or quest with a 5 man group (the xp is just terrible in northrend for multiboxing). The only difference is, you'll pretty much have a full set of pvp gear the minute you hit 80.

Alliance is pretty predictable in AV, they do the same flawed rush strat every game. if you're squishy I recommend just hanging back until a few towers are capped, and then going and re-capping them. Any capable horde team will be able to win if you recap once or twice. Alliance also seems to have almost no 80s in AV anymore, it's all lowbies. I don't know if you have any 80 steam but it's actually quite easy to wipe alliance over and over at Drek because it's mostly 75-79s. Funny to see a group of twenty 70-somethings pop heroism and 30 cooldowns to kill 4 80s. meanwhile horde is up north winning

So since my last post, I've been playing a lot more.
I played AV a LOT on Friday and Saturday night and got nearly 2 levels.
If you win you get almost 10% of a level.
Add to that all the honor your accumulating it really is great.

I split my time about 20% questing, 80% AV.

It's really nice to finally have an alternative to gaining XP.
The ability to have all that honor by the time you first hit 80 is a big bonus too

So I'm now a big fan of AV for gaining levels. Now that I'm up to 75 I find myself a lot less squishy than I was at level 72.
5x Mages can take out a target pretty quick. Arcane Barrage, Fire Blast, Dead. Unless geared 80's, then it takes a little bit longer

Yeah it's definitely worth doing even if you don't win all the time. I'm glad I have my lowbies on separate accounts, I can really turn games by playing my 4x shaman with the alts on follow. They get 1.5-2 bars per game, and keep in mind that's percentage based so it will not decrease as you get higher up.

Also, since you can queue from anywhere, if you have wait times for AV you can continue to quest or grind while you're waiting.

Of course if you're Horde on reckoning, queues are always instant or 30 seconds at the most. Kinda nice
