I don't understand why you feel the need to go from lurking to 32+ accounts. If you've been following the multiboxing community here for the past 2 years, you know what is required to start. This sounds like just another groupie post, just like the ones we get every so often by people who want to know how to be like Prepared, or who wanted to multibox 30, 50, 100 accounts, with goals no bigger than being a headline on a slow news day at *insert random WoW news site here*.

The Almighty Lax made a liar out of me, apparently I DO get prizes for it.

No where did I mention your need to construct a sentence using proper gramatical syntax. You asked for my opinion, as to what you would need to get started. I provided the opinion you requested, you need to financial backing coupled with the time to take advantage of your financial endeavor. Before you can consider what monitor to buy or even which mouse to use for that matter, you need to consider the fact that you will not be able to support your hobby at this level, given your stated income.

Now if you just happened to win the lotto and want to be a gaming phenom for a week or 2 then I don't think you would be here asking what you need to buy, you would be out snatching up the latest and greatest equipment.

You need a network connection that can handle this many accounts, and I don't mean to say WoW demands high bandwidth, but whatever you plan on using to control all of your characters will. Consider a business router/switch combo, as this endeavor will be outside the capabilities of the off the shelf linksys/dlink routers with switches built in. Many colleges restrict your upload and download rates if you live in the dorms and use their network, so you will either ned to live off campus or convince them to allow you to have your own connection installed.

When looking for machines to use stack RAM you'll need it more than anything really. WoW has a comparatively low demand on the processor and graphics card, though these will help your greatest benefit will be seen with RAM. Monitors are your personal desire really, the bigger they are the more they cost it's a pretty well known rule.

Next, find a really comfortable chair because this will become your life, as you will be unable to fund much else. Then invest in a good tutor, because you are going to be cramming a college load into your WoW time. I'm basing a lot of this on my time at ASU while I was making near 8000 a month and still living on Ramen, mind you I completed my degrees while still in the black, it just wasn't easy, college is a building you visit to throw money at most times.

My suggestion is still the same, manage life first then attack fantasy realms and 14 year olds on the other end of the internet. Start small, well smaller, and see how well it works for you then build up to your goal, otherwise you will find yourself trying to ebay those CD-keys trying to buy food for next week.

While I'm on it, a word about misquoting...it means you didn't read for comprehension, and then offered your opinion based upon your own logic fallacy. Issues like these are often the result of improper planning, and poor understanding of the consequence of your actions. It is these traits that will cause your demise. To each his own I suppose, just don't ask for opinions if you don't what to hear the other side. To be like Prepared, you need to be financially stable, college bound on minimum wage does not meet this minimum, therefore, you are doomed to failure prior to your climb to success.

Having worked at a bank for a while I will tell you that spending greater than 25% of your stated monthly income on a single recurring bill is a recipe for financial ruin. Then again "Financial Ruin" might be a good guild name...

If you are really looking to multibox as a hobby, try to keep it in the hobby realm, try 5 boxing for a while, and reduce your initial financial and temporal investments, until you are able to descearn whether or not you will be able to balance life success, and gaming. Remember, degrees pay you, soloing 25man raids does not.
This is true! Even if you're living with your parents and pretending like it's high school ... it isn't. It's a new leap of attention and dedication. If you're doing college right, you're living college, using most of your free seconds for cramming in a little extra study. If I were to go back to school (er, impossible, I'm 35 and have a dream career, I'm done :P), I'd dump multiboxing instantly.
