    Cool 5 boxing shadow priests

    Hello all!
My brother 5 boxes shammys and I want to 5 box as well.

    SHADOW PREISTS PvP.

The biggest problem is obviously fear, healing, and armor. All 3 make the shammy a perfect multi boxing character.

But, UD priests have fear ward, will of the forsaken, and a 30% bonus in armor i believe without inner fire. (they can also heal if you didn't know lol )

    Any advice guys?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Shadowform or not

If just for BGs, you will do fine. If you get the jump they will die, if they get the jump on you I dont see fear helping that much. There are melee that have abilites that ignore fear. A Warrior's bladestorm would tear you apart in short order for example.

There are some priest boxers around here that have more experience. Hopefully they will share.

Ya I made the mistake of RAFing up 5 priests and then I regretted it. I played with them for about 5 hours before giving up. The synergy just doesnt seem to work.

I played 4 Shadow Priests and a Paladin all through TBC (wishing I was Shaman the whole time).

They are very cool looking, they do great damage as long as you are close up - but with all the changes to them - for what they bring to the table they are just to complicated to box.

If you get rushed by a bunch of melee you dont have alot of answers - good thing about Druid/Shaman is they can be in an animal form and not get sapped - with Priests you will often get sapped and simply cant live through much CC.

My biggest issue was mana - I think they've fixed that alot now in WOTLK but I tried them out and the synergy just didn't feel there - they play quite differently now.

The problem with shadow priests is that you can't use your most awesome ability (renew) in shadowform. Without that, you're pretty much dead meat in PVP and instances. The only exception is when you have a well-geared tank that can let your vampiric embrace do all the healing. My first group was a gang of shadow priests. Fun, but very gimmicky and not all that useful.

Disc priests, on the other hand, with enough +dmg...

Thanks for all the help guys. I think the bottom line is that the cloth is the main issue.

Don't write off cloth just yet! One word.

    Warlocks

With Pets, aoe fear, seduce, ability to port,SL and a ton of utility. I think locks are a great in PvP. I like them so much I have a set myself. Quite a few people around here have a set of locks.

Thanks Fat Tire. My broski is making a set of locks now and he is liking it a lot

He is trying to decide between locks, mages , and shammies.

I am trying to decide between disc preists and shammies.

We would appreciate any input! thanks all!

I have 4x priests and I am going to lvl them shadow, go shadow and disc for pvp.

The nice thing about priests is, every set of gear and every spec needs the same thing. You can lvl in shadow and switch to disc / holy for anything else without switching gear much. So, I am going to lvl them when I get my chests next week and see how they are =)

The nice thing about shammies is that they have so many AFK abilities on totems that you end up spending a fair bit of time setting your macros up and then it's just mash a few buttons ftw. With disc priests, everything is active, so you'll be micromanaging abilities like shields/power infusion/renew a lot more. Just something to think about.
