Default InnerSpace vs KeyClone...Which is better?

    Hey all.

I'm currently using Keyclone for multi-boxing my 5-man team (1x Pally, 4x Shaman), however I seem to see an increasing number of posts about InnerSpace/ISBoxer and I'm wondering how it compares to KeyClone. Are they similar? Is one more powerful than the other? How is setup on InnerSpace (KeyClone's is way easy)?

    Any thoughts?

not to knock on keyclone's programmer, but i prefer innerpace. Keyclone is good but a little too basic, but easier to setup.

when you first start using isboxer/innerpsace, it could be a little daunting getting everything setup right. But there was an update to isboxer that has a setup wizard, so you can easily setup stuff and just start playing .. I really enjoy the macro making part of innerspace and using advanced macros is great. If you are interested check out zanthor's guide at

    http://www.dual-boxing.com/showthread.php?t=20643

also if you plan on buying some time for innerspace, use the refferal in that post, I am sure zanthor will appriciate it

they are similar in the sense that can broadcast keystrokes to all wow windows, but i think that is the only similarities(other then a few options each have)

I would say just go to the website http://www.lavishsoft.com/joomla/ and look at the wiki and or watch the youtube videos. this way you can see innserpace/isboxer in action

I've been on both sides of the Keyclone/Innerspace fence, I've got 5 copies of KeyClone and have used it heavily. I've got 1 copy of Innerspace (Supports up to 5 concurrent machines) and use it heavily.

About a year ago now I started wanting to find a better solution for my mouse broadcasting, and was really wishing I had a better PIP solution than KeyClone. At the time the PIP swaps took 2-3 seconds on my machine, which really was a beast and I felt should do better... Mouse broadcast in KeyClone was not viable for combat at the time.

I looked into InnerSpace for PIP swap, it was AMAZING. Literally 5-6ms swaps, so fast you could miss the swap! Hard to configure at this time, but god it was amazing. I went on to mouse broadcasting and it was just as amazing - 100% accurate mouse broadcast between clients...

Since I converted from KeyClone Rob has released an update or two that I haven't looked at. As I understand it the PIP speed is slightly better but still doesn't compete with IS, and the mouse is still not viable for combat (please correct me if I'm wrong on this.)

During this same time Lax has released ISBoxer which makes configuring InnerSpace easier than anything on the market. You can setup an FTL configuration in about 45 seconds, if you don't use the wizard and follow my guide you can have an FTL configuration in about 30 minutes...

The PIP speed is instant, mouse broadcast is perfect, keyboard broadcasting is as simple, powerful and flexible as you can imagine... with some advanced setup there isn't anything you can't accomplish using Innerspace and ISBoxer.

I know it may sound like I'm a fanboy of IS, thats because I am. For a long time KeyClone held the crown for easiest most flexible way to setup multiboxing for software... in my opinion that crown has been passed on to InnerSpace & ISBoxer.

    Nice on the subscription Zanthor.
I think the real question is what do you need out of your boxing experience. Keyclone does a great job to start things off. It is easy to set up and can get you boxing and keep you boxing thru endgame.
I have found though, as you get further along and your needs change, that is when the other programs start to shine. I use hotkeynet myself. I started off with keyclone then went and started using keyclone + hotkeynet for faster window swapping.
After i figured out the basics for hotkeynet I have fully switched over. I am glad though that keyclone has a lifetime subscription which is awesome. I find myself switching back and forth regularly depending on how many i box or what I am doing.
I am interested to try is+clickboxer.. I think thats what it is called that lets you put an overlay that will send mouseclicks. I think thats really neat and would like to try that functionality.

A year ago I'd agree with your take on IS vs Keyclone, today IS has ISBoxer and is far easier to configure a far more robust environment than KeyClone is. Robs product shows that he has a full time job that isn't KeyClone, and Innerspace shows that it's got a developer who's sole purpose is making money off InnerSpace.

Love Rob and used Keyclone for a long time.

I'm an IS user now and flat out addicted to the PiP speed. That's the key feature difference for me.

Zanthor, I think I have the answer to the PM I set you about hardware boxing :/

I am running 10 currently on 2 machines. My second machine isn't as hearty as my first and struggles with 5 clients in Dalaran and some boss fights. I am trying to figure out how IS Boxer with work with 2 x5 clients as my setup. I only have two grounded AoE classes in my group, mainly because of a lack of effective mouse cloning options. I used the software that get's me cussed when I mentioned it for mouse replication but it was a bit clunky and unwieldy.

Is anyone 10 boxing on 2 machines with IS Boxer?
