Heroic Anub'arak

Can people please share any tactics people are using on Anub. I basically run my shaman (4 shaman + paladin) from side to side to avoid impales and tank Anub in the middle and los/range the Pound. But i have tried some kite strategies, but usually the impale comes from under him and grabs the shaman.

The phases go so quick, but so do my shaman. I can get maybe two phases through without a death, but nothing special was done besides luck really.

I must be missing something here.

I run 1DK + 4 shaman, what I do is just spread out the shaman in a line when engaging the boss and never move them throughout the fight. Impale then will only hit one guy at a time making it very easy to heal through

like the person above said, spread out! It will make healing so much easier. You can also move your shaman around the side of boss, he wont aggro as long as you keep max range.

I setup my shaman just inside and to the right of the entry ramp. I group them up and have them all move together from keybinds. I keep them together and close to the entry ramp so the tank can pickup the adds in phase 2.

In phase one I keep the tank out in the center and try and avoid the pound. This is the easy phase go slow on dps if you need to catch up on healing from phase 2.

Phase 2 I run the tank to the shaman and drop consecrate then move over to the bottom of the ramp and wait on the elites. I focus entirely on the shamans in phase 2. When the ground starts shaking I run them forward a bit to miss the spike. If he spikes the shaman you lose all your totems. After the spike I back them up to the previous position. If non elites swarm them just magma. When the elites die take a deep breathe and get back to tanking the big guy.

Keep up the cleansing and nature resist try not to get pounded. This is a long fight, the achievement is to complete in less than 4 minutes. I solo healed a group yesterday with good dps and we didn't get the achievement.

If you have not so great gear you will run out of mana trying to heal through spikes.

I start with the Shaman stacked right at base of ramp. Tank him in middle and run through/under him to avoid pound.

When he burrows I just put the shaman on follow drop a new set of totems which include 4 heal totems. Circle right around continually moving and Holy wrathing and drop concecrate on the bottom of the ramp when passing each time. Once the elites are down I stop burn them hard, as soon as the rumble on ground shows for spikes I strafe the whole lot sideways, nuke again. Back the shammies off to edge and repeat.

On the Third time burrowing I use my fire eles as soon as the elites start I was getting overwhelmed on this wave every time. When he comes back up i pop heroism and go to town.
