    Default Router Log at work

I would like to play WoW at work on my free time but I dont want the router to show me as playing wow. Is there a way to disquise wow on the router. I guess I could just unplug then replug in our router but not sure if that resets it on all routers.

The log im talking about is when you log into the router and it shows websites visited etc.. not all have this but ive seen several with this feature.

For the love of god tell me you're not an air traffic controller :P

Anyway unless you are an administrator for the router or want to try to install another router in between your computer and the router you want to hide from, there will be nothing you can do to hide. Best bet is to just work at work, and play at home if you are worried about getting caught. Afterall they pay you to be there, they can restrict the fun you have while they are paying for your time.

I know a guy that uses a VPN from work to play WoW. Not sure if that would help you.

There are lots of VPN services out there for a decent monthly price.

However, outward VPN connections may be blocked on your network. This is the only way to "hide" from the network admins. If they are using desktop management software that inventories files/programs on your computer then they will also find WoW that way.

Yep, that is the problem I have currently. I had considered picking up a thumb drive or using an external drive but currently any USB storage is not usable/accessible when plugged in. (some of you may now know the general area of my work)

Seriously? Get a notebook and get an unlimited wireless plan through 3g or a 4g network. Ive seen them on the tubes for $50> a month. Router level logs are the least of your worry when they see that 14gigs of space is chewed up for your wow install.

Tether your iPhone or smart phone as well.

A lot of people use smoothping or a similar service to decrease their latency, basically what it does is tunnel your wow connection over ssh to their host, would disguise the traffic as well as a bonus. I used to use something similar (except I was tunneling to my own machine) to play eq at work on military networks.

I used to control my home PC from work. IT stopped that very quickly, they watch me because they know I'll be the first one to break their armor.

I got a PM once because I was using Google Image search to circumvent our porm blocker
