Default Healing the toon that is not targeted?

I have a strange situation when I try to heal with my G-15 set up. I have a macro on all three of my shamans. It is

    /target (name of lead toon)
    /follow
    /assist

That is set on my key board 9 button. So what I do is target who ever I want to heal then hit the 9 button, then hit – button (- is lesser healing wave). This should make all three shamans cast lesser healing wave on what ever the lead toon has targeted.

This does not always happen though. Some of the time they heal themselves, and then the next heal they will heal the toon that the lead toon has targeted. Let me know if you know how to fix this or are experiencing the same thing. Have a great day.

Sounds like targetting lag. Does this happen when you press the heal button immediately after you've changed your target to the char that needs healing?

I need to know exactly what you're pushing.

Are you pushing 9, then -, then - or are you pushing 9, then -, then 9?

Because of lag it can take a second before your toons can see your target change. I would suggest you try some other way to heal your party. There will always be a delay before your toons can see your actual target after it has changed.

    you could try this.
    Code:
    /cast [target=Toonname] Healing spell
    or
    /castsequence [target=Toonname] Healing spell1, Healing spell2, Healing spell3
I use it for my healing works well.

This or the macro I was going to setup after work today (because I haven't had to heal much yet)

    /cast [target=focustargettarget] Healing Spell1

No matter what, that'd heal whoever has agro (which should be the tank)
