The reason that it will be harder to stagger totems now is because they all drop at the same time. Though I guess you could Round-Robin your totem macro and solve that problem.

I just setup a round-robin tremor key, that I can mash after dropping my initial set if needed. Anecdotal testing (King Dred heroic) has also indicated to me that staggering them is far more effecting then dropping 4 at once, but that could all be wishful thinking on my part.

why not just use 2 slots for your pve sequence nothign says all 4 have to be in each one ( yeah now its 2 global cooldowns i guess) shaman 1/3 have this shaman 2 reverses if ya have a fourth i suggest strength of earth
