Thread: About ISboxer

    Default About ISboxer

I was looking into those tutorial video`s yesterday and it seems like a nice good program. Currently using HKN myself.

There were some functions that it seem to had but I`m not sure, therefore this post.

I saw that it stores wtf files, does that mean I set my keybinds in ISboxer? Does that also mean I can change my keybinds on one char just by reloading the WTF and /reload?

If I`m getting this correctly, it means that I can setup a whole box setup without actually starting wow once?

ISBoxer has a UI Mod component that allows you to write macro's outside game and import them into the game. You can also bind keys to these macros which for the most p art will override your default keybindings without altering the defaults.

So you can have keybindings for your main character for solo play, and a seperate set for multiboxing, without having to worry about conflict.

And yes, you can do a complete setup without ever setting foot in WoW, then load... however I find it's easier to debug smaller steps so I build my setups a few features at a time.

Chances are, the WTF you are referring to, is in regards to the Config files.

IS Boxer, has an option for virtual Config files, on a per toon basis.
So you can have minimal settings on some.
    Maximum settings on others.
    Or any combination.
All from a single wow directory.

hey David - i used HKN for 8 months before switching to ISBoxer about 5 months ago ... i switched because I wanted quick window swapping, and a way to lay down a ground-target AOE on my toon (like blizzard) without having to switch to the toon to cast it.

After using keyclone, HKN and ISBoxer, i would give ISBoxer a solid 9.5/10. The only real challenge I have , is that it can be difficult to troubleshoot a mapped key not working properly if you have a lot of them defined. Apart from that, it's great. As far as I know, it's the only software that has true mouse broadcasting - not simply "mouse-click" brodacsting ... It's been invaluable to me to see the cursor (and the grreen-ground-target) move on my toons as I move the mouse on my main.
