[Bug] Empty Forums

If you are seeing empty forums then its likely cause the URLs got toked some how.

Steps for reproducing this are: Go to this URL http://www.dual-boxing.com/forum.php

This will do a little redirect and everything looks ok, but if you click some links you will notice the forums are empty!! {Gasp}!

Look at your URL right now, it probably says something like showthread.php?blahblah

Now if you follow the steps up above you will notice that your URL, when looking at the emptyness, looks like this

http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums.ph...splay.php?f=14

Its some how botched it up and sees that http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums.php/ is the root for the forums and tries to add on forumdisplay.php to the end of it instead of removing forums.php from the pathing?

That is my guess atleast. I am not sure of other ways to get this to happen, but this was a list of steps I found that I could... maybe I should go out for a QA job (Someone shoot me for saying that!)

Anywho, I am tired but it looks like the redirects for bad forum links are what send us into a bad state. G'Night!

unfortunately, those who see empty forums (like i used to) probably won't see this post.. because they see empty forums.

You're seeing empty forums because you're following OLD bookmarks that are no longer valid because they bookmarked the OLD forum system. Please update your bookmarks :_)

And please try to keep any issues with the forums in the other thread.
