Yesterday I decided to redo all my controls and actionbars for my five elemental shaman team as they were clunky and hard to maintain. After a somewhat lengthy and annoying process of deleting all macros, actionbar buttons assignments and custom keybindings from the default Blizzard UI, I now have a blank slate and just Macaroon installed.

I've picked up a basic understanding of configuring Macaroon, but I can't seem to make up my mind how to set everything up now. I'm trying to group different types of spell together and putting them on their own bar. I use the focustarget method btw.

So far I've got:

- Main offensive bar - for targetable offensive spells. This bar has 'focustarget' set as its target property, then I just dragged the spells onto it from my spellbook to autogenerate the focustarget macros. It has:
  • Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lava Burst
  • Flame Shock, Frost Shock*, Earth Shock*
  • Hex*, Purge*

* Round robin

- Heal/res bar. No special targeting set up for this bar yet. Need to figure out the best way of doing this.
  • Chain Heal, Healing Wave, Lesser Healing Wave, Ancestral Spirit

- Buffs/travel bar. No targeting set up for this bar, as these are all self-cast.
  • Flametongue Weapon, Water Shield, Lightning Shield, Water Walking, Water Breathing
  • Astral Recall, Ghost wolf, Land mount, Flying mount

- Multiboxing bar (hidden). This contains my macros for switching focus, following focus and assisting focus.

I haven't done anything about totems yet, but I'm wondering if there's any clever way to deal with them in Macaroon.

Really, I'm just looking for suggestions or inspiration from people who use Macaroon to good effect, making use of all it's funky features.

Thanks for any comments.
