    First, the commons :

On all my groups, first line (G1 to G7) is for tanking, line two (G8 to G14) is for DPS, third line (G15 to G19) is for healing, and the last line is for occasional stuff (like poison cleaning totem, or target a boss spawn, or things like that).
G1 is alway shot want or /attack, depending on the class.

This standardization allows me to easily move a character in another group when needed.

    The way I do my pala + 4 x shaman :

G7 is freezbee pull on the pala, nothing on the shamans.
G6 is my tanking macro, nothing on the shamans. I use this to build up aggro when necessary.
G5 is "taunt" on the pala and LB on the shamans
G4-G2 are various less useful pala stuff

G14 is LB on the shamans, and tanking macro on the pala
G13 is FS+LB on the shamans, and tanking macro on the pala
G12 is Chain Lightning on the shamans, and .... yes, tanking macro on the pala
G11 is a castrandom of shocks on the shamans and tanking macro on the pala
    etc ...

G19-G15 are dedicated heals (I have a healer shaman). Each of these keys are set to tanking macro for the pala, and LB for the DSP shamans.

This way, I have a lot of spare keys, never have to worry about tanking, and don't fear to lose DPS when healing.

Love the pad, had an N52... and it took some time to get used to, but I like the layout and function of the G13 now. I agree about hand size, my wife said the G13 is too big

As for layout... go with what works for you. Its all about what feels natural and what makes sense for each person.

For instance, due to my years of FPS play my bottom thumb button is bound to jump...

Any opinions on this, preferably from people who have used both and can tell a difference.

    Fang
    vs
    G13
Any feedback would be awsome, thanks

I loved my n52 but have upgraded to the G13 as part of my upgrade plan (going from G15 gaming to G19 and Lachesis to G9x next) and loved it right up until I rebuilt this pc with Windows 7.

The current driver from Logitech won't install under Win 7 x64 for some reason and while you can cheat and pull just the .msi out of the package and install that you lose a lot of functionality still.

Hopefully the drivers will be updated soon and as long as you aren't running Win 7 atm I can heartily recommend it.

As far as comparing it vs the fang the main difference is that you can't reprogram the keys on the fang last I checked.

Nah it's not that Fur, the 64-bit works great under Vista 64.

The error is about the wrong version of windows so it's likely they have made of of the errors Larry O has talked about in his blog about how to check for what version of windows is running. There is a really simple logic flaw that can be made that will lock you to Vista and not have the software install on greater versions even if that was your intention.

That's odd. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and the drivers for the G13 installed with no problem for me.

Fang is a joke for a game pad. Don't buy this. I have one at home.

This pad is not comfortable to use. Buttons is not at good place and too small. Pad don't grip (it's the good word?) on the desk...

    Buy a G13!
