Default Question about 3 boxing WOW/Keyclone

Hi everyone I just joined the site and this is my first day (kinda my second) trying to 3 box. I tryed to search for what I want but not even sure what I am looking for so please dont flame me.
This is what I have done so far
#1 figured out how to run 2 monitors in WOW(using Ultramon) that was pretty easy.
    #2 activated 2 more accounts (total 3 now )
#3 purchased Keyclone (I even called Bruce Mcginnis with a slight problem) btw BRUCE WAS THE NICEST PERSON I EVER DEALT WITH ON THE PHONE
#4 Figured out how to follow, assist and attack target on the slaves
Now this is where I am kinda lost. To get the slave to target and attack target was easy but I think it can be more simple.
To play I target mob with my main then hit num pad 7 then num pad 1 for dmg spells (causing my mage and druid slave to cast) while at the same time clicking on my main druid with Wrath.
Now the next step would be if its doable to see if I can make a macro on my main to do all this a 1 time.

Not even sure if this is correct place for this please dont flame and TY for any help you could lead me to.

There are two ways to do it via macros. Let's say your group leader character is named Smith and you want your druid to cast Wrath.

    /assist Smith
    /cast Wrath

    OR

    /cast [target=party1target] Wrath

The first one targets the leader's target and then casts a spell. The second one casts a spell on the group leader's target. This works with castsequence macros as well.

It can be restrictive as you level up and find situations where you may want to have your main targeting one thing and your alts targeting another, but part of the multiboxing experience is learning to change and adapt your macro setups as you go along.

howdy oldtard and welcome to the forums!

personally, i use focus based macros. this allows me to just select a target on my active wow and fire. all my alts get the key and trip the associated macro... and if the power is a targeted power, then they would target the same thing.

the macros generally look like this:

    /cast [target=focustarget] fireball

and my follow macro looks like this:

    /follow focus

    my assist is:

    /assist focus

i also generally replace the melee attack macro with this:

    /startattack [target=focustarget]

this helps because the default attack option is a toggle... and could get toggled off easily (i tend to spam keys when playing... or at least double tap)

the nice thing about this setup is that i can change my leader/active-targeter by using a focus macro. ie:

    /focus joe

this would be on the same key for all wows and when i hit that key, joe becomes the targeting character for all my alts.

you can also take it another step by using the same keys for setting focus as your pip swap hotkeys. this would allow you to not only set the new leader, but you would be doing it as your new leader's wow window moves into the main region

i hope that makes some sense. if not, please feel free to call again (i'm overly introverted and love chatting with multi-boxers )

good luck and welcome to the addiction,

    Rob
