yes it would work, just very slowly. the 80s will take a ton of exp away from the rogue

Depending on their levels, you'll be better off with a single 80 shaman boosting the rogue alone. For example in the 30's to 40's range, one shammy will boost your rogue much quicker then 4 will in Scarlet Monastery (in terms of the Rogue's exp per hour).
