Default wondering if a mixed group is worth a shot

heh before i put a lot of time into what ever becomes my main 6 toon group .. i am trying to figure out which owuld be better ...

I do want to be able to complete the hard mode 6 man end game instances by myself ...

I am having second thoughts on whether a LM and 5 hunters will be able to accomplish this ... anyone have any thoughts?

I was debating the following groups as well

    Loremaster / Hunter / Hunter / Rune keeper/ Rune keeper / Captain ...

    Guardian / Minstrel / Captain / Champion / Champion / Champion

both of the make ups would obviously be harder to set up keymapping wise but may be better on end game hard mode 6 man instances ... im also open to any other suggestions or comments .. it seems the best groups form what little ive read in wow are not mixed gorups though
Not playing anything except Skyrim at the moment until Legion is released

I don't know anything about LOTRO, but in WoW with the changes they've made to group buffs last October, mixed class parties are the way to go.

I've played the standard Pally + 4 shammies and I've played a ton of different mixed groups in WoW. The pain of setup is far outweighed in flexibilty, performance, and just pure fun of mixed groups. IMHO anyway.

    Good luck, have fun!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you'd have a rough time doing a lot of the end-game 6-mans in hard-mode with 5 hunters + LM. You really have to have a tank, and I don't think that the LM pet with LM heals ONLY will do it for you. 5 Hunters won't be able to burn through the bosses quick enough to make it not an issue.

In my current setup, I run 1 Champ + 4 RKs, but I cycle between having the RKs all set for DPS, split 2/2 (DPS/Healers) or 3 DPS and 1 Healer.

I could see you being effective swapping to 3 classes with one being a Guardian (for tanking), 1 being a Minstrel (for Healing) or a couple being RKs for Healing, and the rest of the group being DPS (RKs, Hunters, Champ). You may be able to drop 1 DPS and throw in a Captain (for timered buffs and the banner) or LM (for occasional power battery and CC). But my experience with a mixed group is that with each additional class-type you add, the difficulty in controlling them effectively goes up exponentially, especially with some of the instances needing you to be on the move during fights, or rapidly moving through the instance.

Do you use Makromanagment? How X-Key. With the right Makrocombo you can Box 6 different Classes but you never can Box a Moria Raid with 6 Different Classes you need to many "Drinks" in the 6 Mann Instances and you need many Special Tacktick and many different Classes.

    You need:
    Tank
    Healer
    Combo & Stun
    Damage

My Favorite Setup is: Tank - Healer - Loremaster - Captin - Runkeeper - Runkeeper

Its no Problem to Raid Angmar "CD - Uru" With 3 Chars on 60 i think i Train the 6 Mann in Teamplay befor i go to Raid Moria ^^

I hope you understand my bad English 8D
