Default my IE ( 32bit ) is so damn slow

I don't know what's going on and I guess I'm just going to beg for help.

I can start up Google's Chrome and it starts instantly, if I use IE it takes some 10+ seconds to display the google screen and I can't kill it in those 10+ seconds.
It locks up all the F****ng time.

I would just use Chrome but it's got a few bugs yet, like you can't get the Google toolbar for Chrome.

I'm using Vista x64... Is there some silly option I might have turned on that prevents IE from working ( beside just using vista in general)?

    edit:
BTW... the X64 version of IE seems to start quickly. it's just the x32 version that sux.

If you haven't updated to IE8 yet, then do that - I was having the same problem before I upgraded it, although it was barely a problem except for the 1 or 2 times a year I've been forced to touch a site with an unavoidable activeX bomb.

I'm betting you probably are already running it though since it's been out since March, and beyond that I have had not issues with the 2-3 times i've opened ie8.

I do use chome 99% of the time and any time I have a serious issue I try firefox as my first fallback.

Skype is one of the biggest pieces of trash software it's ever been my sorry experience to have to deal with.

Also, in the future, remember that BHOs are probably the single largest cause of IE hang/stall/lockup/crash type issues.
