Default Comp crashes when I run 3 wows at once...

well, i guess i should say specs

2.2gig dual core (its 2-3 years old now)

    4 gigs of ram

    geforce9800gtx video card

So... I set up my 3 windows for tri boxing.... SOmetimes i can play 3 hours and never crash, somtimes I can't play 5 mins.. what is does it a Loud screeching noise goes through speakers then blood screen of death and prompt shut down. Any one else have this problem? I assume its not the software, and i assume its my computer isn't good enough but my comp isnt bad... i can run crysis in highest quality . and still play it of course

I get like 150 fps in normal wow so...

I found that when i had sound enabled it crashed earlier so when i disabled sound, lowered video quality on all, and kept it 800x600 , it still crashes every now and again, i suppose i gotta just quit and never be able to do it with my current set-up?

So is it a memory problem? or a motherboard problem? or is there no real way to check it and it would be cheaper to just buy a new computer ")_

Question - I also have a laptop that can play wow, is there a way to keyclone 2 from the laptop and maybe 2 from the big box? or just 1 since it has probs with multi warcrafts. I dono i just hate to quit after i put in 15 hours and got them almost 20

my first thought is overheated cpu or gpu(grafics processor).

its been so so so long since i failchecked a windows machine.
but i remember that there is some sort of systemlog that will show you what happened and that information might give you details as to what is wrong.

if it is a .dll or something involved then google for that file and you might find out what that file is for.

overheated cpu or gpu + driver bug or windows bug =common crash issue.

    hope it helps :/.

    Default too fast

well, when it crashes it is too fast to read, as in it shuts down real fast. I dont think its overheating cause i have a good case , also i turn it back on right afterwards and it plays for a good while before it does it again. but i guess it could be overheating,..

You don't mention what operating system you're running. Either way, I would disable reboot after a crash.

Once you do this, you should be able to read the STOP code in the blue screen and tell what component is failing, or at least what the error code is, which you can research further. Every time I've had a problem with multiple WoWs but not one WoW, it has been a memory timing/stability problem. PSUs and motherboard issues can cause it as well but it is much less likely.

Does it happen when you enter a new region. I find that when run 4 copies and I change to a new area (and wow loads new graphic elements) that my laptop crashes - took me a while to work that out, so I wonder if you have the same issue.

My cure is to minimize all but the master window when I change region, then bring the windows up one at a time. This works 99% of the time (but still occasionally crashes).

With 5 copies the crash is almost instant!
