Default Considering coming back to EQ2 to multibox ............

So i've been bouncing back and forth between WoW and EQ2 since they both came out all those years ago. I'm pretty much fed up with all the douchebags in WoW and am ready to come back to EQ2 and give multiboxing a shot. I used to 3-to-6-box back in EQ1 and I am currently 5-boxing in WoW.

So I have a couple questions:

-Is there any kind of program similar to the WoW Recruit-a-Friend program where you get crazy bonus experience?
-Is there a specific server where Multiboxers have gravitated to?
-Besides Keyclone, is there any other program and/or add-on I should get for EQ2?

    Thanks all!

I did this recently, having been a 5-boxin' WoW player before and a 4-boxing CoH player. It was because my best friend was in EQ2.

I can answer your first and third question.

1: There is indeed a Refer-a-friend program where you indeed get crazy XP! 200% adventuring XP while grouped with your friend and in the same zone (to the point some people don't bother levelling up the alt; they just park the level 1 in the same zone and love the 200% XP)

2: I don't know what server multiboxers have come to call home. I do know that the highest population servers are Antonia Bayle(RP) and something something (PvP) - you'll see them any time you try to log in. Apparently a gripe of people not playing on those servers is that SoE won't do a server merge of the low-pop servers, so the low-pop servers get lower in the pop department.

3: You'll need something other than Keyclone. In the wiki, if you click Everquest2, you'll see some things about Innerspace and I-boxer. The reason for this is the EQ2 client won't accept cloned keystrokes unless the windows are in the foreground.

So we FORCE them all into the foreground with innerspace! I get by (using 2 computers; 3 clients on each) using a combination of Innerspace and Keyclone. It's all quite boring, but suffice it to say the setup for EQ2 is a bit more advanced-level than Keyclone. Luckily someone smarter than my own self has written up the tutorials and whatnot (in this very thread as well as the wiki!) so you'll be all right.....

if you start reading the wiki and this forum. :whistling:
