    Default Background FPS / Performance

    Howdy,

I am trying to tweak whatever performance boost I can get out of my system to get a 3rd EQ2 client running decently.

I am currently playing with 2 windowed sessions on 1 monitor... ive set the layout so that 1 is completely filling the screen (so it looks like its full screen), im not really concerned about seeing the other chars screens if theyre not maximized.

In most things ive seen people put background FPS at 15... if I lower that (since im not seeing the window anyways), will that help my performance any do you think?

    Thanks for any advice.
Currently running 10 miners in Eve Online.

Well, dropping background FPS will help to some extent, yes. What matters more is the number of CPU cores you have, and whether the game's options are set to performance mode. Dropping the background FPS too much can be detrimental instead of helpful. It's there for you to experiment with, so you can certainly try it and see how it goes -- really, the best person to answer this question is you!
