Heroics using two healers

My druids have shit gear and I'm curious if it would be easier to start heroics using two resto druids, two moonkins, and one bear. With the replenishment from the resto druids I'm guessing that mana won't be a huge issue, and it should increase my survivability by a great deal, but is the increased time to kill things worth it for heroics?

(I will have one tank/moonkin, and four moonkin/resto, so with dual spec I can bring on resto for the trash mobs and two resto for the bosses)

I do the Loken fight with a holy priest and a disc priest. :whistling: I know for a fact that either one of my priest can solo heal that fight without running out of his lightning nova when I'm not boxing. Is it worth it? To me it's still less time to dual heal then to wipe, rez, run back, & buff up. I used to have my spriest out of shadow form for holy novas when I was on the first boss fight in UK. Do what you need, to get to where you need. :thumbup:

Druids don't have replenishment. It's not what you're thinking.

Resto druids cannot proc Replenishment, and as stated in another thread where you were asking about it, Revitalize is not a very good PvE talent because it simply doesn't return enough to justify the talents.

So /agree with Fur, you're going to go oom and get overwhelmed not being able to DPS fast enough, or you're going to be ok and fights are going to take forever.

Sorry, the wowhead links are blocked for me. All I want to know is if they stack or not, regardless of the name! I believe you said that it's revitalize, not replenishment, and that replenishment doesn't stack, so therefore revitalize doesn't stack... a bit confusing.

AFAIK, they do not. they didn't when I was specced into it.

After doing a little more research on the web (while unblocked at home), indications point to revitalize stacking. As Svernova helpfully pointed out, revitalize is different than replenishment. It seems like most see the talent points as wasted, but I"m seeing some value in the multiboxing scene. It would be interesting to see 3 resto druids supporting 2 rogues (or warriors) in arena. High survivability with three healers, while very nice damage being supported by the constant pumping of rage or energy.

At 15% chance per tick, the expected amount of mana/energy/rage generated is .45% of the proc per tick. While this may not seem like a ton, I believe it could be enough to keep warriors from being rage starved, resto druids from running out of mana, and possibly provide some needed energy for rogues.

I'll be able to test this thoroughly in a few weeks for now Waiting sucks!

I did this for some fights on my druids. Like the elemental/golem in GunDrak, with his aoe poison, one druid just didn't have the oomph to heal through it ticking on 4 guys. With the 2nd druid specced resto, wild growth x2 just nerfs that fight to stupid-easy. Some fights you cannot do that though as the boss will enrage after a certain amount of time. Like Eck. Or the first boss in DTK's stacking rend DoT thingy.

With my team I have my shaman help heal through the rhino phase on the last Gundrak boss. Otherwise, I've always been a solo, holy priest healer. Might be worthwhile to learn encounters but I think once you a) get geared a bit and b) refine tactics all the multi-box "doable" heroics don't optimize with a 2 healer setup. Probably obvious.

Since yeh got a group of druid why not keep one resto then for the out shit moments have a moonkin or 2 drop out of moonkin and drop some insta heals then just switch back?
Yeh really dont need two dedicated healers, 5 man heriocs where design around having one.

Yeh could also grab some random cloth/leather gear off the ah?
