Well, having just read some intial impressions of the new dungeon being opened up in 3.2 (Trial of the Crusader), our worst fears have been realized:
More vehicles in dungeons and raids X(
Worst of all, they are used AGAIN in the very first encounter, meaning if you can't get past the very significant challenge of running 5/10 vehicles at once you are out of luck in seeing the rest of the content.
With Ulduar it only affected a 10-man raid (and there aren't that many of us crazy enough to be 10-boxers), but now it looks like it will affect the new 5-man content as well (meaning many/most of you will be screwed as well).
It really sucks being locked out of two patch's worth of new dungeon content for the sake of some vehicle encounters, especially since every non-boxer I have talked to has said they are pretty stupid, so easy they are boring, and are basically just a waste of time. I can't figure out why Blizzard would introduce such a radically different set of gameplay than we've experienced, learned about, or practiced during the first 80 levels of our character's development then make it mandatory for access to the rest of new content... twice in a row.
Disclaimers:
Yes, I know that one 10-boxer DID get past the first vehicle-based boss in Ulduar at least once, but how many of the rest of us have been successful at it?
No, we don't know all the details - maybe the first boss in the 3.2 dungeon will actually be boxable in regular mode, so it is too soon to say for certain that the entire new dungeon content is off-limits for us, but read the details - it doesn't sound good.
I'm usually very positive and upbeat on things, but this has me pretty discouraged.
