Default release thread... v1.9i (hotfix update)

    v1.9i
    --
o bug: wizard startup crash located and fixed

    v1.9h
    ---
o add: region based keymaps (auto-added under the wizard)
    o add: setup wizard
o bug: while running with octopus for kvm, clicking on secondary system's window will pip swap if hotkey unset. setting pip hotkey will stop the bug
o bug: mouse-click-passing now clicking on windows properly
o add: preset maximizer layout selector
o add: region combobox selector in setup/command-editor
o add: updated the number of maximum regions from 16 to 32 (is more really needed??)
o bug: will not add windows with blank titles

the wizard should help people get up and running within a minute, assuming you have wow accounts setup and characters ready. just install and keyclone will recognize it is your first time to install... at which point you will see the wizard. if you want the wizard again, the wizard button is under the main list in the setup area.

the wizard is meant for basic setup. use the other panels to fine tune your settings.

also, i have also added region based keymaps to regions created via the wizard. there are 2 formations that use the default WASD movement keys. stack and diamond. stack is associated with the PERIOD key and diamond is associated with COMMA. also, using the wizard, i created a default mouse map so when you press MButton3 (xbutton1) it will push a PERIOD around, triggering the diamond formation.

mouse-click-passing (MCP) has also been tweaked to show a cursor over the other screens when you toggle it on. (there is a setting under keyclone/setup/general for one-click-then-off ... which means, you toggle MCP on... click.. and it will automatically turn itself off. (i found that fairly useful)

    have fun!

I havn't had a chance to go back through patch notes for kc and find out - but has the pip been reworked at all? I own kc but I think the version I was using was 1.8 or possible 1.7 something. I have been using Innerspace for awhile now but it is a huge headache to setup and very fiddly - the main attraction to me is the extremly fast pip switching which at the time kc didn't have.

I guess I could test this myself but I am at work and thought others might like to know the answer.

Not sure if Rob reworked it but it's a lot quicker than it used to be, that could be down to my hardware/os upgrades though.
Looking forward to predefined layouts tonight

oh and what server u on slats? I was thinking of transferring back....was it barthilas? I think I've had enough of PvE realms and want to go on gank fests

Sadly I am now Alliance mate. My Horde Paladin and my 4 Shadow Priests are spread over a couple of servers as I played around on single characters with a few friends who dont play often.

I am now an Alliance Paladin on Blackrock and i've decided to boost up 4 Shamans and get back into boxing as alot of my Guild is taking a break while they wait for 3.2 or Diablo 3.

Had a read of your blog and bookmarked it though mate - good to see your still going.

any issues with this version? There was someone saying that pip swap didn't seem to work across multiple screens, I haven't tried this version yet

I believe that was me, but somehow I got it working - Think it was the clean install that did it, and so far it's working great, pip switching is faster than ever and mouse click passing is working quite well ^^

the current version seems to crap out on some systems due to an incompatibility with mfc and the various winsxs crude (oh yea.. hate that). and since it really doesn't benefit me much to have it in the app, i'm removing it. hopefully this will result in not only a cleaner/smaller footprint, but also improved compatibility and maybe even a performance improvement. we'll see.

until then, if anyone is having any major issues, the previous version (v1.9g) is available on the downloads page
