    Default Way to Align Camera angles in WoW?

    Hello all,

    By this I mean using a macroed Hotkey which would set the camera alignment/angle to a predetermined position.

    The purpose of this would be to set each of the Alts + Main to the same viewing angle, distance and degree rotation.

    there is a button that is defaulted to Insert and Delete i believe that "cycles" through 3-4 different camera angle setups.

    You can also define and recall a set number of views using in game hotkeys.

    If you hit the recall position button twice, it snaps to it, rather than smoothly (and slowly) panning to it.

    Nice, I think I've found a reliable way to loot with Alts for the collection quests, and also to make the Alts use targetted AEs, such as blizzard, flamestrike and Shadowfury. I'll try to bring more solid info next post, once I figure out this camera thing.

    Yeah, in theory I can see where you're going. In practice, I can almost guarantee that it will be a bitch

    /script SetView(5);SetView(5);

    Set a hotkey and save a view for all your characters that is the same. You may want to edit your config file (I forget which one at the moment and it's 3:10am so I'm not digging for it.)

    The reason you SetView() twice is to snap to that camera... if you do it once, the client pans your camera, if you do it twice, snap!

    There is preset views in the keybindings menus.

    I am using the same key for one preset view as I'm using in multibox for mousebroadcasting. This will allways give me the exact same view on all chars as soon as I start broadcasting mouse. Very nice for handing in quests, talking to battlemasters etc. By using keybindings in your menu you do not waste precious macro-slots either.

    hmm, you could do some really cool stuff with this and video editing...

    Assuming you can setup an unlimited number of camera positions/angles and macro them, then keybind those macros to say, numpad 1-0 (could use more if needed) you could then use a G15/N52 or similar to send them one after another with a minor delay between the key strokes (double keystrokes if needs be to get it to snap) if the viewpoints were set closely enough together and you can get it moving fast enough (assuming the PC/WoW can handle it)... you get a version of bullet time. Any one care to try it out and let those of us too busy *cough*lazy*cough* to do it know how it goes? :P

    Likely problems are you can't get it moving fast enough to look any good and it'll just stutter from one to the other, still, potential to do it combined with slo-mo for kill shots etc, hit 1 key and you get a nifty camera orbit in a version of bullet-time (once slowed down)
