    No because the +20% to dot damage will still be there and you will do more damage and receive the heal right away. The damage from haunt itself is a hit with crit chance and not actually a DoT.

    haunt can't be cast again until the first haunt has run it's course and has returned to the warlock.
    the cast random has a 50% chance of recasting the haunt as soon as the previous haunt has finished.
    The castrandom macro is much better for instances where you want haunt up on the boss all the time.

    when you can't cast x in the /castrandom x,
    it passes through to the next line which is my cast sequence.

    the reason I was looking at the castrandom is that I sometimes switch targets to get dots going on everything but only one haunt will be allowed.

    I ended up going with
    /cast [mod] haunt
    /castsequence x,y,z

    this was because it keeps my guys in sync better and for questing the first two instant cast DoTs kill without bothering to haunt.

    recount never shows it in the list.
    I can cast Unstable Affliction stand alone and I see it doing damage and then it's in the recount display.

    The second problem I've see is that you can't Haunt everything and you can life drain everything.

    should be /castsequence reset=target/8 curse of agony,corruption,Unstable Affliction, Haunt, life tap,drain life, drain life ?

    direct from patch notes

    "Unstable Affliction and Immolation are now in the same exclusive category (both damage- over- time effects cannot be present at the same time by the same caster on a target)."
