    Default anyone doing warlocks?

I have a team with 3 warlocks, priest & a druid and just got to level 70 with them.
I've tried several different combinations and I can't seem to beat the demon spec.
I tried destructo but when you combine the warlock with his pet they pretty much come out even.
the only one low on the scale was affliction, I couldn't get the affliction locks scores up no matter what i did to his macros.

I ran them through killing the first few mobs in the nexus just before I logged last night and I thought they were doing pretty good.
the destructo lock as doing 950dps ( fairly well geared in BC purples, he was my very first level 70 when BC came out and I was solo boxing then ) void was doing a little over 100dps.
the demon spec locks with master conj stones up were doing 800+dps (just some northend greens and bc blues) and they fel guards were doing 275 dps.

What kind of setup is anyone else using?

    pally/shaman (thiliander/xenoca) , Shaman/Hunters (Zhedrar), Priest/Warlocks(Yarili,Yarlii,Yariil,Yarlli,Yarill)

You'll notice affliction start to get up there once you are fighting bosses. Otherwise, the mobs rarely last long enough for a full DoT to go through, which can be major damage.

I run 2 specs currently on my 80 lock, FG/Ember (2/3 Demo 1/3 Destro basically) raid spec and full Affliction. The FG/Ember allows for a lot more flexibility in my opinion, but w/ more gear, it'll matter less probably. They do virtually the same DPS, though.

The main strengths of Affliction are going to be more noticeable when solo'ing or in longer fights. For normal mobs, I'd suggest just throwing corruption on and draininng, or if it's a grroup, use Seed of Corruption and then Rain of Fire for that AoE damage.

If you're using 3 locks, personally, I'd set them all as FG/Ember (or straight Destro) or all as Affliction, don't mix and match, because they don't compliment each other.

From a boxing point of view, Demonology is by far the easiest spec.
If you're single boxing, it will likely be the worst spec, but with pet enhancements in 3.2, it might gain some of its effectiveness back.
In BC, for Tier 4 and Tier 5 content, Destruction could not touch an equally geared Demo lock.
By Tier 6, Demo was still better then any other class for DPS, but Destruction was better.

Single boxing, Affliction is consistently higher then Demonology in my guilds raids.
Still Demonology feels more like warlock play to me, then Destruction or Affliction.

If its also working well for you, and will have significant buffs next patch...
    Good to hear.

I'm leveling 6x affliction locks 3x resto druids and 1x holy/disc priest. All instant cast damage and healing spells without having to face the target. It should be great for pvp soon as I get a few more levels.
Prot Paladin, tank/resto Druid, 2xResto Shaman, 3xElemental Shaman, Balance Druid, Shadow Priest, Arcane Mage PVE
    10x shamans PVP

I've never boxed locks, but my main of 3 years is a lock. I would suggest sticking with demo on all three. Missing out demon form but putting points into affliction to gain soul siphon on corruption. The increased damage and extra health regen reduce the (already low) downtime even further.

3 felguards charging in at once...corruption....life tap then drain life.

Given that I solod most of the group quests (even some of the ring quests) on my demo lock, I don't think you'll have any problems. Just remember to keep your demons health up.

I have a three crew warlock team that just reached 80.

Demonology through the whole grind. @ 80 respec to Destruction.

Have thrown one lock in with my Shaman crew and straight off the bat, in full crafted gear but NO badge gear, it is equalling and often BEATING the badge geared shaman.

My main problem is that the lock is a freakin agro whore. It is pushing my tanking well out of the comfort zone.
Deeps crew: Prot Pally, 2 x Ele Shaman, 1 x Destro Lock, 1 x resto Shaman.

2 more locks, Ele Shaman and Priest all swapping in and out.

    Boxing on Khaz'Goroth Server.

I have 78 locks/priest (4 locks/1priest). Now, I LOVE instances. I did most if not almost all vanilla instances. I did some (quite a few) BC instances. But I can't seem to do WotLK instances almost at all. LOTS of movement, lots of kill these things before you attack the boss, kill these mobs that don't have aggro tables, etc. It is just annoying if you solo, but when I go in with my team, that is a lot to think about and do with just one person controlling things. I didn't want to box to make things harder, I wanted to make things easier. So I kinda give up on doing instances for my level. I just do them for fun later (UK at 74, Nexus at 76, etc). I LOVE to quest now. It is fun to do group/elite quests alone. Anyway....

I loved demo up to felguard, would never do that different. FG is just too much fun. Then I went down affliction to make things a little better. I am mostly a defensive person, so having my pets tank for me is important. My DPS is just so my healer doesn't run out of mana and it doesn't take years to kill stuff. Recently I have been trying shadow on my priest and it has been pretty good. It gives me a few extra seconds in PVP since shadow form makes people 4 shot me instead of 2 shot. It at least gets a few extra DOTs on people so even if I get wiped, they usually die. The disc/holy priest never really healed in PVP, he just got ganked.

I am sad that everyone told me not to do locks when I first started out. You won't be able to solo MC, you won't be able to do 3 min heroic runs, you won't be able to do anything. Sure clothies aren't the most stout group, but I have loved pet classes forever. I am more about having fun than worrying about running stuff for loot. 90% of my loot pre-78 comes from quest (group ones with blue rewards) and at 78 I add in or replace most with crafted blues.
