Default Interface add-ons that help with Multi-boxing

I've been trying to find some information on what UI setting/add-ons can help make life easier for a multiboxer and am having a hard time with it. Thus...I decided to start this thread as a way people can share various elements that have been helpful.

So far, I have found this one. haven't used it yet so can't say for sure it'll be useful, but it does seem like it might be. Grab a quest with main char..share it and then broadcast the keystroke to have the slaves accept.

If anyone knows of any other add-ons or even just tricks that help feel free to post. I'm sure we all can make use of them

Jamba and x-perl. The only two you'll really ever need. Jamba, because it's a multiboxing specific addon, with tons of features. X-Perl, makes life easier because it's super easy to set up, and you can have cast bars on each toon in your party.

Good idear, I yearned for a thread like this when I started.

I use that one you're talking about - the one for fast quest sharing. It definitely decreases the stress of sharing quests by about 90%, which is nice.

Other than that what I've done so far is add EQ2Maps. I don't remember the installation process, but I remember it sounding complicated but figuring it out by accident. It's not quite QuestHelper (for a WoW reference) but it's more like Mapnotes addon. It's fueled by the community, so anyone can submit a point of reference, and although there's a great many in there there's still some quest markers etc. missing.

Beyond that, I use a mix of key binds and the default UI. What I've done is made 4 hotkey rows per character. The 4th one, the one way up top, is hotkey row 4 and is only used by my healers. All of this can be done by right clicking your hotkey bar and using the UI setup like "Add hotkey bar" and unclick "Lock window" and click "Window properties", allowing you to resize it. Untimately it came out looking something like a druid's bar would in WoW, with the little druid shapeshifty windows over everything else.

Making a little set of healy windows meant going through each and every character's Key Options individually and deleting all of the ones that used the numpad. That was because I wanted to have heal buttons off of the numpad; like numpad1 heals tank, numpad2 heals the warlock, numpad3 heals the warden, numpad4 heals the templar, etc. That took all of 5 minutes but felt like an eternity and I kept procrastinating doing it. I think ultimately I did it because I was waiting for a respawn, so I finally got around to lifting my typing fingers and just doing it.

Say hi to my defunct team; this was from my 4boxing days, now I'm a 6-boxer so I have to do it all over. Oh noes!

Looking at it now, I realize I should make better custom macros on the bottom floor; name them things like "Nuke" and "AoE" and such. That would save me time every time I ding and have to slip in upgrades here and there.

I found an awesome addon that helps immensely..well when you have to rebuff, like when you die or just start for the day. Some of you may already use but others may not so here it is.

Its called Click Buff Macro Scripting and you can find it here:

    http://www.eq2interface.com/download...edBuffing.html

It takes a while to setup the xml files for each of your chars but once you do it makes rebuffing really easy. It knows which ones are currently active and which oens need to be cast so its great to ensure you have what you need. Plus you can make it work through slash commands which means you can make a macro for it.

I did have one issue with it though in terms of making the macro. For some reason the command /show_window Custom.ClickBuff.ToggleAuto is supposed to allow you to have it start running through the spells it needs to cast without having to open the window but it doesn't seem to work. I did however find something that did. You need a macro with three lines in it. Easy to do in EQ2 .

    /show_window Custom.ClickBuff
    /show_window Custom.ClickBuff.ToggleAuto
    /hide_window Custom.ClickBuff

This does get it started and going through all the spells. And it happens so fast you don't even see the window pop up from the show_window command

Hope this is useful for those who aren't aware of it. I love it so far.
