Lvling in raid?

excuse my ignorance as iv never done a raid instance when i wasnt lvl capped but whats the down side?

reason why i'm asking is because there are alot of vids these days of people doing solo MC runs etc.

Would this not be a effective way to lvl toons?

Simple put do you get less xp in raids?

because a lvl80 could round up a fare amount of 60+ elites in MC and burn them down

If you could enter the instance without being in a raid group then yes, it would be an excellent way to farm the XPs.

However, your experience gains are significantly reduced (I would estimate by 50-75%) simply by joining a raid group : (

hi,

so i did a little bit of karazhan with my mixed group at lvl 68 with a boosting pala at 80. i think i got around 1000exp per kill (rested).
that is not bad, but i would only recommend it with a higher level booster because otherwise it will take too long to kill something and the danger to wipe is a lot higher.

maybe that could help you a little.

with my 80 pala and a 72ish shammy i remember getting around 2k rested, so its doable, maybe zerg the mobs up to attumen, dan take the mobs near moroes, go back to the ones at attumen, etc etc
