Default 5 boxing wow on one machine?

Not quite sure how suped up i need to build a new desktop if i was wanting to run 5 applications of wow and fraps the action on my main guy all at the same time.

Obviously i could just go top of the line for everything and be good but who the hell has that money? Anyone with inteligent suggestions on how far i can scale my system back and still get good recorded video with 5 accounts i would really appreciate the input.

If you want to pvp in av/wg or run around dalaran for 5 I suggest these basic specs...

    2.8+ ghz quad core
    6gb ram
    64bit os
    1gb mem video card
    2 screens

You can get by with less in instances and non-massively populated areas.

I'm not sure how much resources fraps takes but I dont think it's that much. It didn't seem to affect my performance much.

Also there is a hardware forum you should check out...this should have been posted in there.

I run 5 on one machine with no problems except maybe some network lag at times. Here is my setup if you want to use it as a sort of guideline.
    AMD Phenom X4 810 CPU running 2.6ghz
8GB DDR3 1333 memory. I recently added 4GB and it dramatically improved performance in crowded areas like Org and improved loading times.
Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 896MB video
Dual monitors, both running 1920x1080. I run my main on 1 and the 4 clones on the secondary monitor.
This is fairly new system, I just built it in April using some parts from my old system like hard drives, case, power supply, and optical drives and it was around 600 or 700 in parts. So you should be able to put together a decent system that can run 5 accounts at one time without spending a ton of gold, err I mean cash.

I have the 5 accounts each running from separate directories and across 3 hard drives. My main is on 1 drive while my second and third accounts are on another and the fourth and fifth are on yet another drive. I think that helps out some as there isn't as much waiting for 1 account to finish a write before the other account can access the drive.

The 5 accounts running at once do not max out the processor and my memory runs around 5 to 7GB used. I can run other programs without too much interference, for instance sometimes I run Utorrent and seed stuff while multiboxing and I have even watched youtube videos while waiting on the zeppelin or during flights (with all but one of the WoW windows minimized). Surfing the Internet and looking up quest info isn't a problem either.

I hope the info helps you.
