Well stuck at 1300 rating (MMR around 1450) and pretty much cannot get anywhere.

Most teams just either gib my main off the bat and I cannot seems to burn anyone down half the time cause my guys are feared/frozen/not facing the right way. Every team I played tonight is aggressive and it just wrecked me. My main targets are usually a DPS class like a DK or War, but I really don't know how to deal with some teams. I attempt to play defensive and get slaughter and I really never want to leave the totem farm but it really doesn't seem to matter. I have a rating of like 1307 and I played a 2522 rated team tonight (#6 in the battlegroup) and got wrecked.

Some of the teams that farmed me with MMR's around 1900-2000 were

Unholy DK, War, Rogue, Holy Pally, Tree Druid
Ret Pally, Rogue, Feral Druid, Holy Pally, Tree Druid
Unholy DK, Feral Druid, Frost Mage, Resto Shammy, Tree Druid
Desto Lock, Rogue, Frost Mage, Tree Druid, Disc Priest.


Alot of teams I played I got like 3vs5 too because the one lone resto shammy kept rezzing the team up. I think I killed like 8 people on that team and still lost.

I did go up from 1203 to like 1305 but I just couldn't make it any further. I end up getting AOE'ed down every time or my Priest gets CC'ed in one Global and someone on my team is dead every time. I am using TS on round robin but I swear it really doesn't help often *ok sometimes it works*. I am refreshing grounding totems all the time, using my earthbind when I can and Fire Nova as a whole when I can. Its just like even with 805 resilence I'm little more then a sponge. I just can't seem to keep my team together long enough to kill some teams.

Anyone got any suggestions? I was ready to break my keyboard tonight playing the same teams that are like 500MMR ahead of me and losing every time.

Pick a different night of the week to play. Most really high rated teams have a set day that they play. i found monday nights when random people are putting teams together for points is pretty nice. I have my good days and my bad days. Good thing is when you lose to a 2300 rated team you lose 1 point or so but gain some experience. Ill fight em all day cause eventualy im gunna drop them. Find the weak spot in every team and yer golden. A ret pally that isnt fast enough with bubble a dk that fumbles his anti magic shield. I cant even put a number on how many mages i blew up without them iceblocking. Most importantly dont get discouraged it can only get better.

As for rezzing i hate that crap too. I usualy have my healer keep an eye on that or atleast scream at me on vent when they see it so i can attempt to stop it. But while they are rezzing 1 im blowing up another so eventualy ill catch up to em.

Just remember that those teams are 500 points head of you, and theres prolly a pretty nice gear gap. I find that most players that get that high, also PVE and prolly have good weapons and other slots that are not pvp gear.

I hit a priest yesterday with 4 lavabursts, only took half his hitpoints lol. Priest had 30k hitpoints . But when we were queing, was fighting people that had like 2k+ rated 2's and 3's. It kind of pisses me off, but I try anyways, I could gib one guy but then their rogue was tearing me a new asshole, and I couldnt get the priest down.

This late in the season, just about everyone has gear. Even low rated teams will be using gear from their 3v3 or 2v2 or from Ulduar, so it's getting tougher every week.

Just keep filling in all your slots with pvp gear to get your resil/hp up (20k hp and 700 resil) and play different nights. Sundays seem to be one of the hardest nights on at least a few battlegroups, for some reason.

I'm probably going to give it a try tonight and see where I get. The problem is I am pretty much honor capped now (only need like 7k honor) and have all the pieces I could hope for from honor short of making like 1600+ to start getting furious. It just doesn't seem like its worth it to me to update my 5 piece hateful ->deadly this late. I really want to go for Furious pieces because at least next season they will be 2nd tier instead of 3rd like deadly.

There are just some teams like I swear I cannot find any tactics that work. My guys die in seconds and I am like WTF. Then I face them like 4-8 more times and I still am left shaking my head going WTF.

Same thing happened to me tonight i went 8-0 to start then ran into a newly made team that had outrageous gear, full furious. ret pally, warrior, resto shaman, dk, holy pally. i couldnt get any of them anywhere near half health. i tried to queue dodge them and it worked for a while but every now and then id get them and lose 3-5 points. Sad part is i only have enough time to get my instant nuke off before my whole team is dead. But those 8 losses is no match for my 21 wins. I just keep going went from 1550- 1640 then back to 1625 and thats where im sitting. best thing to do is laugh it off when u die. So far i have not taken any really bad dives in rating its just slowly going up. trying to get as much furious i can for next season.

But seriously if any of you 2000+ rated can give some advise on cleave teams that charge in fear then proceed to aoe my face off while dancing around me so i cant get a nuke off....if you could help with that id be 2k!

I always seem to get low rated teams to start, win about 5-6 games and then proceed to lose like 20 of the next 25.
