playing sound clips over TS, Vent, Skype etc?

Anyone know of a free app that lets you play sound clips over voice chat?

Actually I did this in my old raiding days. It really broke the monotony of trash mobs in MC/ZG/AQ. Of course, I used sound clips sparingly and only played requested songs. At the time 50dkp minus was very popular and anytime I randomly threw in some of those sound bytes the guild would rofl.

Anyways, if you have a Creative card (audigy, x-fi) change your sound input to "what you hear", it should be on microphone now. Make sure you are using push-to-talk otherwise it will be incredibly annoying to other people and they will hear themselves talking and everything else being played on your comp.

Once that is done all you have to do is play a soundclip and hit push to talk right when it starts playing. Make sure the only thing playing is what you want everyone to hear. I.E. don't play a sound clip and have all the sounds of WoW coming out too.

You will probably have to adjust the level of "what you hear" or else it could be deafening to the listeners.

You dont need programs, just google it. There are many forums posts on how to do it.



My favorite was playing the "You got knocked the fuck out man!" From Friday, anytime we wiped. And then if we were going to reset and go again, i would play tub thumping- the I get knocked down!! but i get up again portion.
