    Default Building a PC

Can someone give me a list of parts around $650.
A little more is ok, as well as a little less.

I want to be able to run atleast 2 WoW's with no problems. Is this possible?
Can you give me a exact list of parts... and the cheapest case, i dont care about it.

I'm sure you could lookup all those parts on all of buy.com zipzoomfly.com mwave.com clubit.com and find a few parts a bit cheaper.

This is a solid machine that would play most new games on the highest settings. It would easily run 2 wows. With more ram I wouldn't be surprised if it ran 5.

EDIT DAMN IT, I KNEW I WAS FORGETTING SOMETHING! You need a hard drive and a dvd-rom. Fixing it now....fixed, but way over budget

Try #2 reduce processor and video card to get closer to budget.

Grand total with case rebate $649 yay.

This version is going to have a harder time running newer games. You will likely need to take the time to over clock your video card. I believe its very easy with this mobo and cpu (like change 1 setting in bios). And also the 256MB on the video card is going to slow you down if you game at high resolutions (ie bigger than like 1280x1024).

I believe this will still run 2 wows without breaking a sweat.

g.skill 4 gigs was like 150 if you can dish out a few more bucks, ive had no problems with mine and its 2 sticks not 4. When i build another PC i will prolly grab a couple more sticks again. Was well worth it. Newegg i got my processor/psu combo deal, ended up costin like 400-500 since i went with the rosewill 900watt or whatever

Keep an eye out for those combo deals some of em are pretty good.

You can rig out a basic machine to run at least 3 accounts. That's my theory, anyway. Nvidia's SLI x3, pci express, dual core processors, motherboards capable of 16 gigs of ram (windows only supports 4 gigs though so don't go overboard). But it all starts with the motherboard, just be sure you get one that you can add upgrades to. And begin with a decent power supply.

For the most part it's cheaper than ever to build your own machine. As for me, I bought one piece at a time as I could afford it, but I made sure to get the best piece I could find at the most reasonable price. I'm going to sound like a walking advertisement, but I found the best deals on newegg.com and numerous rebates, saving me over 100 bucks and spending around $600.

My two accounts play smoothly on it, and I'm sure I could slap in an additional video card and a couple extra gigs of ram for about $150, and easily play another two accounts. If I needed more processing power I could find a speedier AMD chip. At present I got the AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core 5200+ (but after that speed the prices started rising exponentially).

    I've got a single nvidia geforce 8600 GT 256;
2 gigs ram, AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core 5200+,
Gigabyte MoBo with 2 Pci Express slots and upgrades to 16 GB ram
(Would have held out for 3 PCI-E but having 3 cards was just unfathomable to me then).

I already had the monitor and dvd/rw drives, and peripherals.
Two WoWs at max settings run beautifully, and I expect a third even with my current configuration would be alright if I lowered the settings a bit in WoW. With another vid card and more ram, no xtra graphics settings, I could see 5 toons on the same box. Could be wishful thinking and probably is.. But hey I can dream =^)
