Anyone get the werewolf hunter pet?

Yeah, just reduced to a novelty pet now. Fun to pull out just to show off, then put him away again. I'm not going to delete him until I have a better use for the extra stable slot.

He will still attack, but has no special abilities. You can still keep him happy with the Glyph of Mend Pet. So he's still a usable pet, but his DPS will suck compared to anything else.

What made me bust out laughing when I got home today:

Ya I walked up to the gankfest area today and laughed my ass off at all the people trying to tame him...Im glad I really didnt waste a whole ton of time trying to tame him now. I really hate that blizzard does this... I mean really, does it hurt to let people have a unique pet?

oh true, but they also removed that ghost wolf pet from hunters too and I really dont think there was any far off reason for that. Unless they felt it infringed on shaman and ghost wolf form, lol.

As I stated before, there is a _REALLY_ good chance that the Worgen will be a playable race in one of the coming expansions... (everything else that was predicted in beta 2004 has come true so far). It would be pretty silly to see some jerk bust out his/her Worgen pet and say "lol, I tamed a horde"

No one was disagreeing with you there, and I'm hoping there will be a worgen race in a future expansion (more reason for me to switch to horde!). Since their history/home is largely a mystery, its unclear what type of expansion they would come with. Some people say they are a good fit with a South Seas expansion (I still fail to hear reasons why), though a reference to their enemy, the "Lords of the Emerald Flame", almost sounds like a tie to the Emerald Dream but has also been suggested as being tied to the Fel as well (since they use green flame).

But the odd thing is they let us keep him as a pet, so what you said about pulling him out after the race is added is still true, assuming they don't force any further changes. I was hoping they would just fix the visual glitch (if they were going to act on it) and let us keep the wolf form, as I planned to get a white wolf for possible raiding anyways. Anyone got any other good white wolf models to suggest?

I'm guessing that the Greymane wall (closed) will be the home for it. There is some lore somewhere that speculates that they're werewolves.

Agreed, that seems the most logical place to have their starter zone (nothing else really makes sense). Since Arugal really isn't one them, I could easily see the storyline being that some of them despise him for the experimentation that he did on them and deciding to break away from his family. If they get added, it's of course still unclear whether it would work like DKs where anyone can be one or if they actually create a faction opposite version for alliance and leave worgen as horde only. I prefer more distinction between factions, rather than making them more and more alike (paid faction changes really messes with this logic though, oh well).

What I was referring to, though, was their home world. Reading lore (I know, I know... "lolore"), they apparently are not indigenious to Azeroth and seem to only cross over into this world when certain powerful magics are used. I think I want to see a worgen class more to see the history provided in the starter zone than the desire to actually play them. :P

There are all those "portals" in Outlands that go to "other places" that are currently not used. There is also the emerald dream/nitemare that could just throw everything out of whack.

Speaking for myself, I always attributed the portals on Azeroth (is that what you meant instead of Outlands?) to a coming Emerald Dream expansion, seeing as how they are always surrounded by green dragon kin. But now that I think about it, it also plays into the "Lords of the Emerald Flame". Maybe that refers to the green dragonflight as being the enemy of the worgen because of their mandate to watch over the dream world. Since at least some of the old gods were being imprisoned in the dream world, and the green dragonflight was given the task to keep watch over them there, I could see how the worgen came at odds with them for entering their world and causing problems.

Ah, yes. I know the ones you're referring to now. Though it seems odd they would be connected to them since worgen appear only on Azeroth, and not Outlands.

From my understanding World of Warcraft is Scheduled for 7-8 Expansions and so far we are only on the 2nd Xpac.

There are also several other Hero Classes to come, DK was just the first.

Blizzard always Milks their products for as long as possible and WoW will be no different.
