    Default Laptop for 4 wows.

Hey, I am wondering if this laptop will be able to cook 4 wows in any invironment.. I mean like 0 lag during arenas in BG's (what im looking for), including some large fights with 100 people (aka wintergrasp), if not, welllll could someone help me find a laptop that would provide this profomance.

I would like a i7 CPU in there, but I cant really seem to find any, or when i do they can only have 4 gigs of memory, which is not very good for a multiboxer.

    Ogloo,

I was in the same boat as you a couple of months ago (ie RL required me to have a laptop). I was just about to pull the trigger on a Q9000 (knowing that I really needed an i7). A little research yielded the sager 9280 (I won't mention the retailer I ordered through). Here are the specs

    Display 17" WUXGA (1920x1200) Glossy
    Video Card: 1,024MB DDR3 GTX 280M
Processor: i7 -920 (though you can get the 975 if you have the $$$)
    Memory: 6GB DDR3 1066MHz (Up to 12GB)
Hard Drive: Up to 3 Hard Drives (I through a X25-M in for the OS and wow)
    Battery Life: 1-2 Hour
    Weight: 11.55lbs

I've been using it for the past week and I gotta say it is ridiculous. One of the regular posters on here keeps saying that i7/ssd combo chews through 5 wow's. I thought he was exaggerating. He''s dead right. The machine has enough mustard that it rarely has to over exert itself meaning the fans rarely spin up, resulting in a quieter machine than my old T7500.

The cost to me was about $2300 USD landed in Canada.

    Just my 2 cents.

ps - let us know how you make out.

Ruodhaid: I box on a laptop and have no stability problems despite the laptop getting hot - so probably you had a bad laptop

Well I thought the OP had a nice rig listed, but SGM, ... DAMN

I have no doubt that either of those machines wouldn't perform flawlessly.
