Default Some help with Keyclone Hotstrings please?

I am just starting up and i can not find any help on using hotstrings.

It seems from what i have read that pushing a button on one client sends a different command to other clients using hotstrings.
    It also seems pushing a button on one client could send different buttons to other clients. ie WoW1 push "1" = WoW2 push "2" ; WoW3 push "3" ; WoW4 push "4" ; WoW5 push "5"

i just typed about 4 questions and then deleted them.
Basicaly i can not get anything to work with hotstrings ...
Could someone please give me some kind of guide on how to set this up please.
I am a bit lost and searching around has lead me to dead ends.

    Thanks!
(if i find anything ill post what i find ... search continues!)

when making a hotstring, you must keep the same hotstring, and just vary the key pressed.

so, on wow1 the key would be '1' and the string might be 'attack.1'
on wow2, the key would be '3' and the string would still be 'attack.1'

    so on and so forth

if you have a wow that doesn't have an action for that hotstring, just leave it off that wow and no key will be sent to that wow

    Excellent!
Thats a good start for me.

So then i go in to the keymap editor.
(sorry bear with me here ?( )

in the key field i push
    1
and in the hotstring entry i put ... hmmn from your tutorial it looks like i put ...
    accountName.RandomHotstringDescription
    or is it
Command((from the command for the launch)).RandomDescription

so if the random descriptions match it will send that key to that respective client?

This still does not make a whole lot of sense to me i cant get any of those to work ~ i am sure i am again missing an obvious step.

Thanks for the help ~ ill keep working at it

a hotstring can be any random string, just the keys vary from keymap to keymap.

i recommend not using caps or spaces... it will reduce potential mistakes.

I am having the same problem in my search for the correct way to use hotstrings. The syntax is what seems to be the main source of confusion for me. I learn best by doing an example, so when learning the various macros it was relatively simple to follow an example that explained how the macro was constructed and the proper syntax applied.

There is not a similiar resource for hotstrings however, all the url's I find at the Keyclone wiki that say "basic hotstring tutorial" links to the dual-boxing homepage and not directly to a tutorial, which is basically re-directing to the beginning

There are easy to follow and understand guides for everything except hotstrings. It feels like a gap between getting started and more complex applications.
