That or I would prefer to use the images and hype / mania (?) / outlandishness of my setup to advertise an up coming business of mine.

It would be cool to have a nice ass huge TV with bad ass resolution so you can MB. To bad they suck with the res.. Hey why not spend 75k and get yourself a 100inch hah.

I would buy a 100" if they had, oh say 40 megapixel resolution and many, many inputs.....

    But nothing can drive it.

And imagine the yields given bad pixels......

    Patience

I will be moving in Jan(ish) and I intend to document the old build very well before updating it at my new place. So it will still be a few months.

I do have pics of the build though and a huge writeup already finished.

wow... now is it that well documented in order for your business purposes, or is it so you know hoe to put it back together again? :P

and you realize that most people dont worry about ceiling height. That is just reserved for the people with a combined monitor size of ~84in.

I documented it in order to have a writeup and basic guide as to what I did.

And I very much realize that most people don't give a hoot about ceiling height

And it would not be a problem except I want to recline AND use my monitor array. And the monitor array needs to be electrically articulated.

There isn't enough clearance unless I sit almost right on the floor. Which negates the leg rests that I added to the 7 series BMW seat.

I need to find a better input system than a mouse and keyboard though. It is hard to use those "laying down". As I have detailed in other (now buried) posts about this subject.

Yes, I am acutely aware that your average person is perfectly fine with a $20 chair from Wal-mart and a crappy reconstituted chip wood desk.

Not to be all high and mighty but I am not your average person and I have somewhat unique needs that cannot be properly addressed with an off the shelf solution in this case.

No, I am completely behind you as far as the completely custom "office" goes.

I am currently one of those people with a crap chipboard desk and I really would completely customize my office, however I do not own our current house, so it would be far too much work to create something that will quite probably be obsolete within a year or two. Once we build our house then the sky is the limit.

is your monitor array attached to your seat in some fashion in so that when you recline the monitors "tilt" with you?

Also did you wind up keeping all of the electrical components to the seat hooked up, such as the heated seats?

I'm sure this is an obvious yes, but is the desk custom built as well? I'm sure you've posted it before, so I appreciate your time in answering.

Even though I don't rent, I designed everything to be modular, removable and not damage the property. It took 3 people 2 days to put it up though

It is not attached to the seat. It has independent controls to adjust the seat (18+ adjustments) and the monitors (height, width, tilt). The monitors themselves are suspended by a rather elaborate framework for safety reasons.

I "kept" the electrical components in so much as they all work (memory, 3 level heated seats, etc) but I added a few parts (leg rests) and had to rebuild much of the car's "brain" to get everything working together. As an example, it needed a signal from the speedometer to enable heated seats. Go figure.

The desk was custom made out of aluminum honeycomb.
