you have no idea how much time you potentially saved me in regards to the heated seats needing a signal from the speedometer.

I've been looking at doing something like this for quite some time, now the hardest part would be finding a seat that I deem comfortable enough.

Go for a 1997ish - 2002ish Porsche, 3 Series BMW (heated is not built in) or Mercedes seat.

Do some research first but the 7 series seat memory and heated seat controls are NOT physically on the seat (they are on the door and center console). Hence the need for the speedo, several other modules, extensive wiring, etc. It gives me flexibility but at the cost of added complexity.

Buy a seat that actually has those built in to the seat or they likely will not work when you plug them into 12 VDC.

They will *move* but my seats memory and heat did not.

Also think about mounting them securely. Otherwise you sit on the floor.

Lastly, it is easy to retrofit on/off heated seats to nearly any make / model.

I recently upgrade my 19" lcd monitor to a 40" lcd hdtv widescreen, I noticed some talk about the resolution sucking but I haven't noticed anything unbearable. Everything is pretty clear and I thoroughly enjoy playing on it.

I am currently running it on 1360x768 resolution and i was wondering if i could go any higher or anything i could do to get an even clearer picture.
Like i said everything looks pretty good but i think theres always ways to improve things

I was thinking a higher performance vga cable might effect it too.

Although i am not a dual boxer, atm. I have great interest in what you guys do here and check the forums at least twice a week to check up on things

    Hello,

my boss and me just had a strange / good idea.

What about using a HUGE (30+) TV and Maximizer to run 5 WOW windows?

I have not experiance with this but maybe the resolution will be a problem?
One of the setups I play with regularly has a single 24" Widescreen display which I'm using without too much problem, the layout I ended up doing was splitting the two most important characters (tank and healer) vertically over the top 3/5 of the screen, and relegating the three DPS characters to a vertical split over the bottom 2/5 of the screen. It seemed to work well enough, despite me being the type of player to go insane with button bars all over the place.

There isn't enough clearance unless I sit almost right on the floor. Which negates the leg rests that I added to the 7 series BMW seat.
hehe reminds me of that scene in "Grandma's Boy" where they nerd is sitting in his room with the blaring techno music

    <--- 6 30" on ONE PC

The thing I love the most is when people name drop their "HUGE" plasma and how a 50" or a 70" is gigantic. Then they run regular DVDs on it (which run at 720 x 480 (assuming NTSC). That is a third of a megapixel! A SINGLE 30" can display over EIGHT DVDs at the same time at native resolution!!! Why the heck would you want to blow that up to 50"?? Even with hardware filtering and smoothing - there is not enough physical information available to render a high resolution movie.

MAYBE if you are running HDTV but even then... the 30" DL DVIs blow that out of the water. Assume you have progressive scan HDTV (many are still interlaced, meaning you lose half of the vertical signal) - but assume you get the highest quality HDTV TV - 1080p - this is still "only" 1920x1080, so 2,073,600 pixels (2 megapixels). The 30" DL DVIs run at 2560 x 1600, or
    4,096,000 (4 megapixels). And they are 30" - not 50"+.

So even if you had a 70" plasma or what have you.... what is the point when you only need something like a 21" screen to show that in native resolution? Anything else is just upscaled.

    Seriously.
Your forgot the whole, "I bought a 70' screen and sit 10 feet from it, Why does it look shitty??"

Hey my parents have a 52" tv and so while they were out i dinner i hooked up my desktop to it. ok im really bad with the technical terms.. so i shall describe.

i took a cord that went from my vid card its [its not the blue plug but the white one:/ it has the bunch of dots and the cross type thing on one side of the plug.] anyways the other side of the cord looked like a retarded usb it was thinner but a little longer i believe. and i was able to get a crazy resolution on that. it was crazy clear and i was able to make the icons on there the same size as on my 19" which is running at 1600ish by 1200ish

anyways i definately should have tried running wow on that... shucks
